Do you know who this man is?

If you want to take the next step toward IDENTIFYING your false beliefs and PROTECTING yourself from being further brainwashed by people you trust, you should keep an eye this thread.

This guy wrote the book.
“The Book”
A helpful thing to understand about EDWARD BERNAYS, the father of modern PROPAGANDA (aka: "Public Relations"), is that his dad's sister was married to his mom's brother, who was SIGMUND FREUD.

Who do you think of when you hear the word PROPAGANDA?

There is a very good chance that person was a STUDENT of EDWARD BERNAYS.
How does the word PROPAGANDA make you feel?

If you're like most, it has a negative and dark connotation.

NOW think about the phrase PUBLIC RELATIONS. Not so bad right? Every company you've heard of has a PR unit.

BERNAYS did that. He still influences ALL OF US.
The first words of "Propaganda" identified what set BERNAYS apart from previous propagators of propaganda: How to influence LARGE GROUPS.

This opening paragraph may be the most chilling I've ever read.
The practical reality that BERNAYS identified is, that GROUPS don't THINK.

There isn't enough time for us to think about everything.

We need things SIMPLIFIED for us.
So who is this INVISIBLE GOVERNMENT and how do they THINK for us?

BERNAYS identified two vehicles of influence, the most important being THOUGHT LEADERS.

Some thought leaders are SO POWERFUL that they can convince the public that LOGGERS are BURNING DOWN THE FOREST.
THOUGHT LEADERS can also come in the form of ORGANIZATIONS.

In 1913, Bernays created the first example of a FRONT GROUP in order to sway public perceptions of sex ed and venereal disease.

So what is a group to do when there isn't a THOUGHT LEADER to point to and say "Yeah, what THEY said!"?

Edward Barnays figured out that Groups "think" and debate with clichés.

Words and images that have been put together for them.

Memes. Talking points.
Most of what we think is real is ACTUALLY just a simulation. A production, like a TV show. "Public relations". https://twitter.com/billybragg/status/1192398407811383296
Simple phrases, endlessly repeated to the masses, become obstacles to rational thought.
