By the way, part of my point here is that while anti trans 'gender Ideology' rhetoric from GCF aligns pretty much 100% with the religious right, people should also beware that the vast majority of it is put out by Life Site News, Heritage Foundation (including Daily Signal) etc.
If you search the phrase in other languages you also get the identical thing coming from Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland, Russia (and more).
The Catholic church mainly, and to a slightly lesser degree the evangelical protestant conservatives are far and away the main source of this stuff. In various parts of the world they're forming alliances with nationalists. The Bannons of the world are making deals.
Not being conspiracy theorist about it, they're actually pretty overt about a lot of this stuff and you're free to do your own research.

GCF is slowly making inroads into a lot of these places many years after church led anti feminist anti trans homophobic hatred under the rubric of "Gender Ideology" being actually pretty mainstream.
Gender Ideology is STILL in the main, a conspiracy theory term peddled by alt right news outlets in the US, far right gangs in Europe, the Catholic church internationally in the interests of demonising LGBT people and feminism.

Hey this is my huge mega thread on gender ideology headlines as they change and there's been a change! Catholic news groups are still involved but quite a lot of what I've seen from the last week is just openly far right stuff including political*te and br*itbart. Worrying.
One of these days I should get to collecting all my Google alerts for gender ideology and classifying them systematically by political faction.
Nerdy digression: I'm super into signals analysis and understanding social trends metrically through signal over time, how that signal (in this case, Gender Ideology) propagates through society, through different spheres of social interest.
When I did the research for this piece back in early 2019, one of the major problems was using Google's ongoing dating system which would missestimate dates by a fair bit pretty regularly. https://freedomnews.org.uk/gender-ideology-up-yours/
Google tries to read pages for the date of publication but will often read an "updated" date, or a date in the past inside accidentally as the date of publication. This is a vulnerability - you can screw up what looks like history by planting a historic date from 10 years ago.
Unfortunately for me the other option was to unacceptably increase the labour required by checking The Internet Archive and others for their earliest archival incidences (which for articles in bulk with just the one of me is too much).
This method is problematic too - many of these sites may take several weeks to crawl to a new Catholic press release making it difficult to determine sequences of transmission of memes around gender ideology. I think tracking propagation is a challenging but interesting problem.
My interim solution was just too set up some Google alerts on gender Ideology related terms. Most of these websites run Google analytics - these pages for any significant platform are placed as hits on Google almost instantly and when that happens I get a daily digest.
Obviously (like with any signals analysis) no receiver is ever going to be free from noise, or able to pick up all signals but given my interest is mainly in recording and analysing the progression of this trend, daily digest is a pretty good linearisation in time of the signal.
If anyone knows of a serious field of forensic digital archaeologists around somewhere whoo have tools and methodologies for doing this stuff I'd be very interested to know because obviously this is a hobby project of mine and I'm painfully aware of methodological challenges.
Even with G Alerts by the way, there is bound to be "timing jitter". If you're playing at home trying to work with some of these techniques I highly recommend learning some fundamentals of DSP theory ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuh62Q4Sv7BUSzx5Jr8Wrxxn-U10qG1et) and maybe take up radio as a hobby because it helps.
One of the important things analysing signals is characterising both noise in receiver and I don't really have a great way of being 100% sure on the latter (although the bias in collection is matched by the bias in the accessibility of these articles to readers through Google)
