After much deliberations, I decided to share snippets of phone recording of @FactCheckIndia / @thewire_in manipulating Dalit minor. Their nefarious designs must be exposed. Else, more Dalits will suffer.

Reporter says he works for @thewire_in and @Factcheckindia and wants to know if the matter is indeed of religious hate.
No sensitivity to crime, its gravity, no words of sympathy for victim despite knowing he is minor. As revealed later, he knew all details of case already. 2/n

Boy narrates how Dalits are treated like slaves. It is acceptable to see Dalit woman bathing. Dalit girls are forced to sweep lanes. The reporter, not concerned, simply tries to negate any hate agenda. Utters not one word against perpetrators or sympathising with victims. 3/n

After listening to entire case, reporter starts manipulating the boy to put words in his mouth that it is not hate crime. But the honest boy reveals how Dalits in village are forced to be bonded labors of Muslims. Since his family refused, they were attacked. No one helped.

Reporter tries to manipulate boy to accept that Bajrang Dal forced Dalit family to lodge fake complaint. Boy clearly tells he lodged genuine complaints and no one tried to influence him. Then upset reporter tries to change topic. Explains how they manufacture hate database.

Reporter shamelessly, after listening all details of how Dalits were attacked, forced to be bonded labor tries to force words in mouth of minor victim. Refers to a news report (probably by @swati_gs) that portrayed it as hate crime, and asks Dalit boy to refute this as lie. 6/n

More shame to come. After Dalit boy details how it is persistent communal hate, reporter shames him. Asks him to rethink and not call it hate. Tries to make victim guilty of spurring violence and attacks on Muslims across nation. Why reporter has to ask a minor all this? 7/n

Boy details how Dalits are restricted from celebrating festivals, how M community gangs up to ostracize Dalits and evict them. Reporter gets upset. Tries to convince boy that things are now peaceful. When boy refutes, he changes topic to know about his father! 8/n
