So, I was going to do a thread on Trump and his executive order on Economic Empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders; and in my research I came across this lolz 👇🏾 #ADOS #AmericanDOS
Before we discuss I want to remind people of this:
Also this:
Also need to remind that The Black Vote has consistently and overwhelmingly gone democratic and that our voting number - during Obama's Presidency - eclipsed both Latino and Asian voting numbers. We put Obama in the oval office.
So, lets get back to Obama's executive order for the Economic Empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders 👇🏾
Not the preamble atop the fist page - no community should be invisible to its government (must be nice) - and note how they expect the AAPI community to grow to 47 million by 2060; and also remember what is expected to occur in 2053.
Page 2. Always keep in mind that Chattel Slaves were NOT immigrants. Note that India, China, Philippines and Korea represent the highest number of Asian immigrants and that India and China account for 80% of H1-B visas.
Page three. Look at the countries represented in the underlined red (second paragraph). Note the amount of money allocated to AAPI programs and also note the highlighted green (I'm getting to that).
Page 5. Note that $5 billion of government contracts were awarded to AAPI businesses in 2015.
Page 5. Note the vulnerable workers program (purple highlight). Note the focus on Native Hawaiians and note the bottom paragraph that states increased government grants to AAPI. And also note the disaggregation (getting to that).
Page 6. This page primarily deals with data disaggregation and note the purple highlight.
Before I continue I want to state that this is not a "hit job" on Asian-Americans. They have every right to petition their government for resources and set asides. And #ADOS have most right - and the lineage - for government to fix what it broke.
The Economic Empowerment of Asian Americans is basically Asian Affirmative Action dating back to The Clinton administration. But keep in mind that they also qualify as a minority under what was supposed to be *our* Affirmation Action.
This executive order has been renewed in every administration since Clinton for a voting block that represents approximately 6% of the population and hasn't historically voted overwhelmingly Democratic. They're getting set asides and SPECIFIC policy!
The thing; however, that I find most interesting is their push under Obama's executive order for the disaggregation of AAPI data. That confused me for a second b/c they always lump Asian data into one statistic. Now, they want the data itemized.
Look at these graphics 👇🏾. Look at ALL these countries of origin disaggregated (separated). Taiwanese are clearly of a higher economic class compared to the rest.
AAPI are double and triple dipping. They group all Asian-Americans together to lobby congress for set asides but want to separate by ethnicity in order to show need and not have wealthy Asian immigrants skew or mask the numbers.
This reminds me of what socialists and Pan-Afrikans want: multiple groups coming to America and lobbying the US government for resources to be spread among all. And I've noticed that immigrants tend to be more socialist.

Chattel slaves were not immigrants though.
If the AAPI can get the government to disaggregate the data based on ethnicity I don't see why they can't do the same for Black categories?
