I'm feeling a bit deflated,
There's nothing I want more than to see Zimbabwe free from tyranny,
I'm ready to take to the streets at any moment to register my outrage,
To have a say,
To participate in my freedom.
I'm so ready!
But honestly,
I'm not sure what MDC is planning...?

Is this march a national effort?
Or is it purely an MDC thing?
What is the END GAME?
Are we marching to push Mnangagwa into a GNU with Chamisa?
Are we marching to say we want the Zanupf Gvt to resign?
What are the demands?
MDC owes us an explanation,
They need to respect us!

In November 2017,
Zimbabweans were tricked into marching to remove Mugabe,
I remember asking on that Saturday,
What are we marching for?
What's in it for the people?
Who's replacing Bob?
But we were in too deep.
By not demanding answers,
Aren't we making the same mistake?

I have a bitter taste in my mouth,
Over how Byo is being treated by the MDC,
Added only as an afterthought,
Given different date,
No explanations given.
Leading me to ask myself,
Am I gatecrashing a personal party?
Is MDC doing this for Harare,
Or the nation?
Asifuni Bumbulu!

The MDC has to be clear about intentions.
They have to show us how different they are from zanupf.
From the day they announced the date,
The people have expressed excitement,
Pledged allegiance,
But the people also asked questions.
None of which have been answered.
Tirikuitiswa?

My position has always been clear.
I believe only an uprising can remove zanupf.
Only we the people can free ourselves from this oppression.
I have no illusions that MDC has the numbers,
& Chamisa is the president we voted for.
But they must not use us to push zanupf into a GNU!

I'm also extremely concerned by the strategy of having a 1 day protest?
Zanupf has been in power for 39 years,
Not even in our wildest dreams can we remove them with a petition!
So here is my humble request to the MDC.
Please be open with us about what we are marching for!

If this is a national effort,
& not about individuals' political ambitions,
MDC should mobilise better!
By now they should have invited other players.
Other parties
CSOs
Trade Unions
Churches
Activists
Traditional leaders
Zimbabwe can only be free if we all unite against Zanu!

The fragmentation is disgusting!
When Artuz marched,
PTUZ, ZIMTA etc were mum!
When ZCTU called for protests in Jan,
MDC was mum!
Won't even talk about APA &other oppositions!
Zimbabwe is gripped by the spirit of greed for power,
For glory.
Until our leaders unite.
We are doomed!

I'm hoping that before Friday the 16th of August,
We will have a statement from the MDC listing OUR demands,
That we will hear the other unions & stakeholders announcing their participation and calling their people to join.
I am hoping the Bulawayo issue will be sorted.

That said,
Let us not lose hope!
We must not allow zanupf to defeat us,
To divide us!
Let's PEACEFULLY rise against this system that has stolen not only our livelihoods but that of future generations!
Freedom is coming!
