hi. most of y'all who follow me know that i write le negro nosed romance outchea in these streets. but maybe, you haven't dipped a toe into the falls pond just yet. well, friend, i am here to tell you that you really need to rectify that and here's why...
if you like a lil bit of mess in the form of a woman who dealt with two brothers who's a bit too hardheaded for her own good? then perhaps, you should read about #DevLis in Adore You: http://bit.ly/FallsAY
Or if you would enjoy reading about a woman who's reeling from heartbreak and meets an intriguing gentleman down at the bar courtesy of a speed dating event that her pregnant bestie drags her to? holler at #CelRim in Smitten: http://bit.ly/FallsSmit
I hear a lot of chatter about folks not seeing older women represented in romance novels, well my forty-something heroine meets a younger man via an interesting avenue (shoutout to @therealchencia). get to know #Dametricia in Then Came You: http://bit.ly/FallsTCY
pause for the cause to mention that those three books 👆🏿are interconnected standalones in a series. and to also warn you that i love couple name portmanteaus no matter how awkward they sound. none of them appear in the books, but this is how i refer to them often.
hey, you? you like short stories? something to whet ya appetite for just a lil sweetness (nastiness would be more apropos considering the word nipple appears approx 100 words into this collection). These are my babies--5 shorts, one book: http://bit.ly/NFSpark5
In late 2017 I had a thought. It started with a Christmas novella and morphed into "I wanna write a series about sisters whose last name is Holliday who were born all around or on holidays!" Wild corny, right? But what's romance without a little cheesiness, amirite?
First sister up is Noelle - born on Christmas, hates her some damned Christmas. The reappearance of her childhood bestie changes her POV on the holiday though. Then there's Valora the Valentine and her marriage of convenience to her coworker/bestie.
Then Juniper aka Juju - the wild card (Juneteenth!) who had a chance run in with someone that proved to be just what she needed. &lastly Ginger (Thanksgiving) - the only one of the sisters who came into this world coupled long term & whose journey was more about self discovery.
All 4 of those tales - novelettes - can be found here: https://amzn.to/2RI0r0Y
I collaborated with two of my homegirls (*waves to TĂ©iley!) on a series about friends who'd lost contact & reunited when they all travel home for their high school reunion. My book centered upon a woman who picks up a fine ass stranger danger on her road trip home. I know right?!
*wipes brow* whew, this is a lot. IDEK how many more books I have to go but does anyone need a water break? I might. LMAO. K, moving forward. So music fuels my writing like no other. When you read my work it's evident. This next book is named after one of my favorite songs.
I wrote it in the midst of watching my aunt die from pancreatic cancer (ik, ik, sry 4 bringing the room down). Pouring myself into #Calirk helped me channel my grief in a constructive way (I think it's the best thing I've written), Last First Kiss here: http://bit.ly/FallsLFK
Christmas came again and I wanted to write something. I am also obsessed with the food network and competitve baking shows. So I decided to combine the two and from that came the sweetest little novella--sugar butter flour love: http://bit.ly/SBFLFalls
and then a couple days after i hit publish on sbfl, a couple of side characters were like hey sis, we got something to say, so i posted this short short that has more actual christmas in it: http://bit.ly/FallsAIWFC
hey, so remember those short stories from upthread. well, i was asked to participate in an anthology and characters from one of those stories were like "aye plair, this is the perfect opportunity for you to bring us byke!" so I did in Switched at Bid: http://bit.ly/FallsSaB
early in 2019, i saw a clip of @JayShale spinning and I was like "OMG i should write a book with a female DJ as a heroine", so I did and the result was A Natural Transition, which is damn good if I say so myself: http://bit.ly/Falls13ANT
& finally, we're at my latest release which is my favorite thing on Earth that I've written right now. A collaboration with my pal and a writer whose pen I adore--thee Alexandra Warren. It us, love, and basketball--a guaranteed slam dunk! *groan* I know save your tomatoes!
Anywho, I kicked it off with Shots Not Taken about a sassy ass Black girl who just wants to sing country music and this fine ass ball player who she meets by way of mutual friends: http://bit.ly/NFSNT
Whew, okay if you made it to the end of this thread, congrats to you. Hopefully you find something that piques your interest if you've yet to dip a toe into the Falls pond. đź’ś
