The Family International, formerly known as The Children of God, was founded by David Berg (also known as "Moses David" in 1968 and is still active today, lead by his spouse, Karen Zerby.

When the cult was called the Children of God, which was under Berg's leadership, the belief was that God loved sex because it was beautiful. They also believed that masturbation was a gift from God, and that you should it all the time (ew), whenever and wherever they wanted (ew).

And in this belief system, in order to stay close to God, members were encouraged to think about having sex with Jesus (ew). Berg even told his followers specific lines to say to Jesus to turn him on. Things like, "You excite me, Jesus, and I want to feel Your Love..."

Berg also wrote THOUSANDS of explicit comics from the group. These pornographic comics promoted the cult's ideals and beliefs, such as, but not limited to Gabriel the Archangel had sex with Mary and told her that she was going to give birth to Jesus, and that Jesus...

had sex with his own mother. Another gross thing, some of the comics showed naked CHILDREN with lewd and suggestive captions, like a photo of a grown woman in bed with a TWO-YEAR-OLD and the caption being, "They told us to go to bed." Which is fucking disgusting.

One of the other major beliefs was that since sex was a gift from God, there was NOTHING WRONG with practicing it with YOUR FAMILY (ew). Berg was said to have a sexual relationship with AT LEAST one of HIS DAUGHTERS, and once said that he REGRETTED not having sex w/ his mother.

Berg also believed that CHILDREN were naturally curious about sex, and that they should be allowed to explore sex freely, which meant that children could have sex with ADULTS.

And that leads me the the next topic of Ricky Rodriguez, Karen Zerby's son. Rodriguez was born as "David Moses Zerby" in January 1975 as a result of his mother and a local hotel employee that she "Flirty Fished."

Now, we're going to jump to January 2005, when Rodriguez met up with a former associate of his mother, Angela Smith, and stabbed her to death in her apartment. He then drove to Blythe, CA, which is where he shot himself in the head.

According to multiple websites, Angela Smiith, who was formerly known as Susan Joy Kauten, was involved in his childhood molestation.
