this is donna's initial reaction to thomas when he asked "who are you to him?" she genuinely, honestly, had absolutely no idea how to answer that question. just the mere look on her face encompasses EVERYTHING that their relationship is, everything you can't put into words.
she genuinely has no idea what she is to harvey. she has never truly known everything that she has meant to him since the very day they met. they both slowly became such an entangled part of one another, to the point that "harvey and donna" is essentially the same.
which is why the harvey/thomas scene is so fucking important. WE all know that donna is the most important person in harvey's life, we've always known that. harvey also knows that. but NOW, donna actually knows herself.
"she is the most important person in my life, thomas. and SHE KNOWS IT." "you're the best thing that ever happened to him, and HE FINALLY KNOWS IT." they're finally, FINALLY, on the same page about who they are in each other's lives, and what they mean to each other.
anyway korsh didn't have to go so damn hard with the donna/thomas and harvey/thomas scenes BUT I AM SO GRATEFUL HE DID
