Ok twitter so i’m off to Auckland in a few days to have a football sized tumour taken out of my liver. I’m terrified. Instead off flowers or sympathy i love you to choose one of the following:

1. Talk to an old white dude. Teach them to recognise that they are part of a unique group that has never experienced oppression. Tell them they need to support minorities. Tell them to keep their reckons on how minorities should solve their problems to themselves.

2. Talk to a retired boomer. Explain to them that they could really help their kids and grandkids by supporting public transport. Tell them how easy and convenient it is and then teach them how to use it.

3. Talk to men about standing up to their rapey mates. Teach them that having a “creepy” mate who hunts intoxicated women is not ok. Rape is more common than terrorism. What if they heard someone talking about making a bomb? REPORT RAPEY MEN to the police, to the women you know.

4. Refuse to be on a panel or refuse to listen to a panel that consists of only white dudes and tell the organisers why.

6. Go op-shopping or use trademe etc for something you would normally buy new. It saves wastes and often ends with you having way cooler, more unique stuff.

7. Stick up for a woman from the green party. Anywhere. With friends, family, strangers, on twitter. They get so much hate and abuse and it’s a disgrace. I don’t love all of them but they don’t deserve the shit they get.
