A Debunk Thread: Why Michael Jackson is Innocent.
#LeavingNeverland
(also, realize that when people come out to accuse people of mistreatment of any form, THEY SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED. At the same time, the person in question should not immediate be considered guilty, it should be left up to evidence found on the matter to confirm or deny.)
Jackson's accusations span 25 years and multiple trials, cases, and documentaries. The first being an investigation in August of 1993, with the latest being March 2019 with "Leaving Neverland", a documentary that re sparked old allegations from Wade Robson and James Safechuck.
To begin, let's get a few things about Jackson straight: This is a man who had no childhood, his early life was only performing and being in the spotlight. He didn't get to do what normal kids got to do, and it's clear he tried to catch up on what he missed out in his later life.
If you ever looked at Neverland, it looks like it was cut out of a Disney park. It something where he could go out and and have child-like wonder and share it with others who appreciate it, which those others are primarily children.
I'm not saying this isn't strange behavior. It's obvious he had trauma through his early life, never got help, and had enablers in his life that allowed this to continue. But this behavior doesn't immediately equal being a pedophile.
But let's get into Robson and Safechuck, the two main accusers throughout Jackson's allegations.
Let's start with Robson, who met Jackson for winning a dance competition in 1987. He visited Jackson in Neverland 4 times over 7 years after his mother made half the family move from Australia to California, expecting to live on Neverland after winning the competition.
They said they were invited, but Jackson didn't buy the property until 1988 and he didn't start actually using it until 1989. This doesn't seem to add up unless he knew that he was going to have this property for sure a year prior.
In 2012 he said that the abuse from Jackson was constant and happened daily, which is impossible since he only saw Jackson a relatively few times over the years prior to the accusations. But this is one thing we need to know about Robson, he is very inconsistent.
He went from "I suppressed the memories" to "I remembered but knew it wasn't right" to "Jackson threatened my family to stay quiet". Actually, there was a time in court where he said that Jackson actually never sexually abused him at all! (hard to see but it's all there)
Apparently, he also referred to himself as a "master of deception." Now I couldn't find a good source of transcripts, but I'll show it anyways. If it is true, then in the context I can see why he would use those bad choice of words, either way, he isn't exactly trust worthy.
On to Safechuck. He met Jackson after starring in a Pepsi commercial with him.
Safechuck defended Jackson on two different occasions, then comes forward in 2014, saying Jackson abused him over a hundred times over a four year period, beginning when he was four.
Safechuck had very proving evidence that he pieced his allegations together by using a pro pedophila book made by Victor Gutierrez. @Hammertonhal has an extensive thread detailing this here: https://twitter.com/hammertonhal/status/1085620426536112129?s=21
Now there isn't too muchelse to say on Safechuck, other than his explanation on how Jackson abused him vastly contradict Robson's ("Safechuck painted Jackson as a careful and conscious abuser, while Robson portrayed him as restless and predatory")
Both Safechuck and Robson say they aren't in it for the money, but, Robson looked around for amultimillion dollar book deal months before going public,Robson opened a "survivors charity", and both men sued the Jackson estate for a cash settlement.
There are many child celebrity's who have came out to defend Jackson, one's who have spent much more time with him compared to these two, but one I really want to focus on is Macaulay Culkin.
He was very good friends with Jackson and has defended him on multiple accounts, in and out of the court room. He has given solid and consistent testimonies defending Jackson.
Culkin was even fair and confirmed about the times he shared a bed with him, which Jackson explained himself. To me personally, this does seem inappropriate, but is not equal or close to the sexual abuse allegations that were towards Jackson.
There are many other trials involving people such as Gavin Arvizo, Jordan Chandler (where Jackson was forced to be strip searched, and have photos taken of every part of his lower body), and many others. All these with extensive witnesses and evidence, end acquitted or settled.
That extensive FBI investigation on Jackson? It turned up with nothing, you can read the filed here: https://vault.fbi.gov/Michael%20Jackson
Maybe I'm missing facts here after hours of research or I'm just finding biased reputable sources, but I can not find anything that claims Jackson sexually abused these kids. Please, if I missed something, let me know. If you have your own thoughts, add them. Thanks you.
