At screenings of my film on workplace sexual harassment, the kind of questions/comments I've had to answer/witness... Mostly asked by men.

Here's a primer about the journey, read this first

The one that gets my dander up, is when a guy starts off by saying, "the film... it's a good effort" or நல்ல முயற்சி
Piece of shit, I'll tell u what's a good effort, that I didn't chop you into 1mm cube for your existence. That's a good effort. A noble effort cos u begging for it
Why an all female crew? Isn't that also a form of bias?

Not going to add my responses.
Did you make a film cos you were harassed?
Like dowry, many women have filed false cases. What about that?
What about men who face harassment?
What about women who harass? This film is biased. Cos you are portraying the perpetrator as a man by default.
This was yesterday:

Film n all is good. "It's a good attempt"
Why don't you all women move beyond making a film, and engage in on ground support group to help victims?

!!!

I think this prick didn't get the memo that it's easier for men to NOT harrass instead.
Can you make a 10 minute version of the film? You can't expect people to watch a film for two hours.

Says the dick that was on facebook the entire time of the film.
Why don't you make a film on the perils of Tamil serials in Indian households instead?

(I don't know man. Maybe I should have made a Tamil serial itself. Fuck my life)
Are you anti Modi?

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh yes BC. I am.
Why don't you screen it in offices? These public screenings are useless mostly

Even those corporate people that are IN THE FILM couldn't give a fuck to offer a screening. And neither did you. So unless you have a solution, stfu.
You seem to come across as very man hating and angry and rude

Hello, prick, could you please go to the end of this room and kindly fuck yourself?
What's the point of this film?
Did you release the film during metoo to gain popularity?
Is crowdfunding a way to make a lot of money?

!!!!
I'm part of the ICC in my company but sometimes women lie.
...and many such gems that is worthy of a book.

Mind you, literally ALL THE THINGS these people ask me as a question, my film has answers for it. In fact, there is literally NO questions you'll ever that you can't find answers in the film.

And yet, this is the state of affairs
I am tired of the apathy. But I believe in my film. Here's a trailer.
I want to ask anybody who claims to "care" about this "issue" to have the basic human decency to get in touch & do a screening.
It took me 3 years to make it. You ONLY have to screen it.
Oh yes, pls don't ask me if I can give you the film so you can charge cooperates shit loads of money, and screen my film as part of "awareness"
...and obviously not have the decency to give me a part of it

I care about the issue, but I'm not an idiot. I also need to fucking eat.
Because a call for help because of frustration HAS to be made worse by men, look at this genius' response to my latest rant. This ladies and gentlemen is the sewer level of reactions I deal with everyday. Sometimes many times in a day.
@OmairTAhmad - can't make this shit up?
Of ALLLLLLLLLLLL the things one could ask... Look at this guy who thought it was important to tell me where he's "originally" from (my god, I don't even know what to do with this brand new world of information) & question an editorial style, which mind you, I should feel insulted
/ridiculed/belittled - lord the agony of choice.
I personally wish people just use my first name, but really, wtf dawned on this waster of oxygen to make the effort to look me up, write a detailed note about why this is my prerogative BECAUSE I'm a feminist? Why do men exist?
Listen, ofc I can ignore it entirely & do my own thing. That's not the point. Point is, you're not allowed to parade in with your entitlement to ask a question which you probably WILL NEVER ask a guy. These dipshits won't wear me down, but on some days - I'll call em out for it
Why do you have to make the film so depressing, why can't you make it a little positive so that if a woman wants, she can find hope and strength to "fight" the perpetrator......
Were you abused is that why you made this film?
