okay but what if in infinity war black widow was reincarnated in a stronger, faster body (ie recast if they didn't want scarlet playing her any more) because she made an actual, noble sacrifice (therefore completely undermining thanos """sacrifice""" in the previous film)

like imagine: black widow and hawkeye scuffle (quickly please bc that scene was unnecessarily long), black widow falls, hawkeye gets his "no!" moment, camera pushes in to black widow on the ground and CUTS TO:

At some point, Thanos #2 goes gives a Big Bad Guy Speech about what sacrifice means. Black Widow Remixed calls him out on his BS, tells him what sacrifice REALLY is, because she knows better than anyone else what that means.

Congratulations!!! You have directly addressed the boring, self-righteous nature of the villain and called him out on his self aggrandizing behavior, AND! you haven't killed the only female character of the main avengers lineup. Everyone is happy.
