Okay so here’s a thread about Love based off of the theory I found.

Triangular theory of love says love is best understood in 3 components that work together to form a triangle. Intimacy, Passion, & Decision/Commitment.
The love that you experience with a person depends on what amount of each is present & the strength of each component. The type of love you experience is dependent on each of these components in relation to one another.
Intimacy- how close you are, feelings of connectedness, bondedness you feel

Passion- romance, physical attraction, sexual attraction/activity

Decision/commitment- short term: the decision to love one another, long term: the commitment to maintain that love
The purpose of this theory is to explain why some love lasts long and why some fizzle or can’t withstand the test of time.
The intimacy component is said to derive from the emotional investment in the relationship. Passion derives from the motivational involvement and decision/commitment is from the cognitive decision making. None of these are exclusive, but typically this is where they come from.
These 3 components at varying amounts make up 8 possible types of love. (This is a limited amount & does not reflect every relationship. Your relationship may not fit into any one of these)
1. Nonlove- none of the 3 components are present.

2. Liking- Intimacy component is high while the passion & decision/commitment is not present.

3. Infatuated- Passion component is high with an absence of intimacy & decision/commitment
4. Empty love- occurs when there is a decision to love & commit to maintaining the love, even though there is an absence of passion & intimacy
5. Romantic love- passion & intimacy are present.

6. Companionate love- combination of intimacy & decision/commitment component

7. Fatuous love- occurs when there is passion & decision/commitment with no intimacy
8. Complete love- occurs when all three components, intimacy, passion, & decision/commitment, are present to create a full combination.

A chart for ppl who are more visual:
Depending on these combinations, which kind of love are you experiencing?
This theory is very detailed. I may add more later if y’all want.
