Loco Pilots in India: An inspiration for Investment Advisors

It takes 10-12 years of training for someone to graduate from an Asst. Loco Pilot to a Loco Pilot Shunter.

"Training Matters". Period.. It can't be substituted with a course or a degree or certification
'Loco Pilot Shunter' after proper courses and practical trainings wherein they are supposed to drive locomotives in sheds/yards at not more than 15 kmph speed. After experiencing for not less than 2 years, they are promoted as 'Loco Pilot/Freight'

Process of grooming takes time
Loco Pilots fall in various categories like Freight Loco Pilots for Freight trains, Passenger Loco Pilots for running Passenger Trains, Mail Express Loco Pilot for running high speed Trains & Rajdhani Loco Pilots for running very high speed passenger trains
Specialization Phase
A Loco Pilot works on a particular train under the guidance of the Train Manager of the train, like train route, limited train speed, prediction of signalling error, sufficient brake power, safety etc.

Understanding Risk & Learning Risk Management comes with experience &teamwork
Why does Indian Railway take so much pain to groom an employee whose minimum qualification is perhaps Higher Secondary School Certification?

Simply because a Loco Pilot is responsible for Human Lives travelling in the train from Point X to Point Y
So how should we groom our Investment Advisors / Managers, with whom the people would invest their hard earned money?

Would you like to travel in a train where the Loco Pilot is drunk, violates speed limits and overruns signals, doesn't care for passenger safety?
