*inhales* I& #39;ve been diagnosed with Aspergers at the age of 24. I& #39;m going to make some comics to share how it affects me and all the nifty new things I& #39;m learning about myself.
#30AboutAspergers 01: Diagnosis
I now have a 40+ page notebook of notes and articles lol
#30AboutAspergers 02: Touch
I can& #39;t deal with t shirts with tiny collars.
#30AboutAspergers 03: Sincerity
I& #39;m not good at sarcasm, I& #39;m nervous about goofs!!
#30AboutAspergers 04: Sensitive
That& #39;s a big oof, friends
#30AboutAspergers 06: Refuge (different from escape)
The first image was drawn before I was diagnosed with aspergers, writing autiobio comics about experiences I couldn& #39;t quite explain, but felt deeply.
The second image was drawn right after learning I was on the spectrum, and feeling a deep sense of relief for my younger self.
I want to return to autobio comics this year. Speaking of taking things to heart, I got a weird dm from an acquaintance about my diagnosis a while back & that stopped my desire to make these for a bit. It& #39;s scary to put myself and how my mind works out there. I will do my best.
Reviving this thread for #AutismAcceptance https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> - I got spooked by a DM when I was posting these that questioned whether or not I was #ActuallyAutistic. I stood up for myself but I retreated from talking about my experience online.
I feel sorry that I did so, because beyond this message I have only been met with love and support. Thank you all for your patience with me. Hope to have some new comics soon.
