Have you heard about PMDD?

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
- a severe form of PMS that includes physical and behavioural symptoms that usually resolve with the onset of menstruation.

#PMDD
Symptoms include depression, suicidal thoughts, crying, irritability, muscle aches, insomnia, hypersomnia and others.

They usually start 2 weeks before the period and end just when the period begins.
There is really no permanent treatment for it aside from antidepressants and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Learning to live with it as part of you is also important.
If you think you may have PMDD track your symptoms during the luteal phase of your cycle and speak to your doctor or psychiatrist.

PMDD can be pretty scary in the beginning but I believe there is a way to get through it.
I have PMDD and I have had it since. However it was only recently that I connected my mental health status to my menstrual cycle.
