[Thread on Venerable Carlo Acutis]

I wanted to do a thread on Carlo because he is someone I feel many are unfamiliar with, which is unfortunate because the virtuous life he lived, especially at his youthful age, can only be a cause to aspire new Saints for this new millennium.
I hope that through this thread I can spread greater awareness of the holy life Carlo lived as to help us imitate that same virtue of holiness in our own life. I also hope that one day I will be able to witness Carlo be canonized. So without further ado...
Carlo Acutis passed away at the age of fifteen from leukemia. During his last years, he offered up his suffering up for the Pope and the Church.

Pope Francis recently authorized and advanced Carlo’s cause giving him the name of Venerable.
Carlo was born in 1991 in Italy and lived a pious life where he attended daily mass, recited a daily rosary, made weekly confessions, and frequently adored Christ through the Blessed Sacrament.
When asked about his devotion to Mary, he described feeling her motherly love and often offered up acts of mortification to the Blessed Mother.

For me, St. Paul’s words to the Romans here came alive through Carlo—“we boast of our afflictions”.
Carlo was noted to be exceptionally skilled at computer science and following his canonization, he will like be the patron of computer scientists, the internet, etc.

Carlo took this skill and as with the rest of his life, offered it right back to glorify God.
He created a website, documenting the Church’s history of Eucharistic Miracles throughout the world. Carlo held a deep and intimate relationship with the Eucharist claiming that the Blessed Sacrament was his “highway to Heaven”.
For Carlo the Eucharist did not only give him Heaven during his time on earth, but reminded him of our goal.

“Our goal must be the infinite and not the finite. The Infinity is our homeland. We are always expected in Heaven”
Carlo’s body recently has been exhumed though sources say it is too early to consider his remains incorrupt, but many are hoping for this miracle to push forward his cause for Sainthood.
His most notable quote is: “All people are born as originals but many die as photocopies”.

And to not die as photocopies we must always keep the Word of God alive in us as our compass.

#MementoMori💀
Carlo’s life inspired those around him and now continues to inspire the lives of people worldwide today.
