[THREAD]

I’ve been waiting for a looooong time to do this thread

Refuting the Wahhabi claim that Najd is in Iraq.
1) Firstly, let’s look at the meaning of the word Najd.

Najd in Arabic means “high place” and Riyadh (in Najd/Saudi Arabia) has a higher elevation level than Kufa/Basrah in Iraq.

Additionally, Najd is to the east of Medina so the sun rises over Najd.
2) The Prophet (PBUH) said that the Qarn Al Shaytan will come from the east. Directly east of Medina is the region of Najd.

Iraq is to the northeast.
3) Abdullāh ibn Umar (RA) said that he participated with the Prophet (PBUH) in a Ghazwa (military campaign) in Najd.

The Prophet (PBUH) never went to Iraq, so the only Najd that this could refer to is the Najd which is next to Hejaz.

Wahhabis cannot deny this.
4) The Prophet (PBUH) sent horsemen to Najd and they captured a man from the tribe of Banu Hanifa.

The tribe of Banu Hanifa inhabits Najd in central Arabia and therefore it is not an Iraqi tribe.
5) Ah, the most decisive evidence of all...

The Prophet (PBUH) made a miqot distinction for the people of Iraq and the people of Najd.

If Najd was Iraq, then he wouldn’t have had to give two different miqots for the Iraqis and Najdis.

Najd is NOT in Iraq. Period.
By the way, before any Wahhabi accuses me of being a Shia Ahul Bayt worshipper or a Sufi, I’m neither Shia nor Sufi.

I’m a Sunni Hanafi. Did that process through your head ? Ok, good.

If I were a Shia, I wouldn’t even be using Hadith from Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim.
EXTRA NOTE:

I’m aware of this Hadith on the left and the Wahhabis have been throwing it at me nonstop. Here’s the response to that Hadith. It still does not negate that Najd is in Arabia.
