Nah mehn
I'm definitely keeping an online diary about my transport experiences in Lagos
Lagosians be wilding!!!!
There's two routes I alternate between whole going to work.
Decided to go with the one that stressed me the least last week but after this morning #thread
I get to the bus stop and meet several kekes which is weird cos it's usually people that are waiting for the kèké.
But see me thinking that as per new month, new week
Haq haq haq
I didn't know
I'm about to board so I tell the driver where I plan to stop and he goes oh they've blocked the road that leads there but you can 'cross' to the other side and get another kèké that will take you where you want to go.
Okurrrrrr
I hop in and we are off.
Making good time and all
We get to where the road was blocked and even from the keke, I can't see a way through but the keke man insists there's a way and attaches me to another passenger that's also going my way.
We move a few feet and I finally see the place we are supposed to cross
Lo and behold the way to cross is by going into the ditch dug for the ongoing road construction and then going up a ladder that some people had put there
And by the way they were charging ₦50 per head to use the ladder
This baby girl had to climb ladder nysc camp style on a beautiful Monday morning 😩😩
But she still got to work with 5 minutes to spare so I guess it was worth it
Almost forgot to add this entry, someone liked this tweet now and reminded me. Anyhoo, here it is:
Late one night I was returning home and boarded a bus from obalende to oshodi. I was the first passenger as the last bus filled up just seconds before I got to there
Took the front seat and settled in to wait a while.Apparently I was not alone in my night crawling as the bus filled up in a matter of minutes and we were soon on our way to oshodi.
Today on Lagosians' never ending madness.

Took bus from Fadeyi to Iyana Ipaja, price was hiked but baby girl had no choice. Oya bring change, conductor kept hoarding change until people got to their bus stops. This lady kept asking for her change, bàbà no pay am mind
Mans was busy throwing change at passengers as they were getting down. She finally gets to her bus stop and not only does he renege on the agreed price but also claims to still not have change. She says it's either you give me my complete change or I'll take something from you
I thought it was all talk until someone alerted the conductor that she had relieved him of his phone and the money he kept in his pocket was now blowing all over the place.
Driver was unaware of all these and had gone some distance before he realized that his conductor was running after the woman to get his phone back and pick up the money that was all over the place.
Driver wasn't even ready to hear anything, someone that was probably drunk already. He was just shouting that if the conductor comes back without his complete money that he'll beat him to stupor. We sha waited for 10 to 15 minutes for the conductor to return before continuing
Our journey. Mans was sweating from all his pores like he just finished lifting weights.
