I have family members, friends, and social media followers who don’t understand why it’s so important to me to wear my #MAGA hat. I don’t owe anyone an explanation but i decided to make a quick thread with a few reasons anyway.

I first decided to wear the hat because I repeatedly saw videos of people, harassing, physically attacking, spitting on, and/or slandering conservatives and MAGA hat wearers. Far too often, liberals try to silence people they disagree with. Im not here for it. It pisses me off

I think it’s disgraceful that in 2019, in the United States of America, people have to be fearful of expressing their views publicly because someone might attack them or their family, vandalize their property, or dox them.

I also hate the narrative that minorities don’t/can’t support Trump or be conservatives. Even more so, I hate that so many minorities are incited against those groups through lies and media manipulation. Wearing this hat is my way of combatting that narrative

There are minorities who are conservatives. There are minorities who are Trump supporters and there are those who dnt support Trump publicly out of fear of judgement. Not only does the hat give me opportunities to have conversations, it may also embolden others show their support

Most importantly, this hat is bigger than Trump. He’s human and flawed. He has let me down and will again undoubtedly. I dnt agree w/everything he says/does and I’ll be ready to renounce my support if he falls far enough frm my values. For now though this hat is a bit of a symbol

This hat represents a rejection of the rampant immorality and insanity the social/political left fight for. Open borders, self-victimization, identity politics, dangerous emotional immaturity, entitlement, abortion, silencing/intimidating dissenters, deranged LGBT support, etc.

Y’all don’t get to tell me what or who to support Rock an Obama hat, Hillary hat, Bernie hat, rainbow flag, or RESIST sticker, and nobody bats an eye. Wear a MAGA hat and.....
