Gonna make a thread talking about my fav Yakuza/RGG games (spoiler they& #39;re all good)

Will soon return from the draft mines with good vibes

Yakuza (2006)
I love the intense bloom and blur effects, they give Kamurocho a really hazy unsettling atmosphere. This, combined with the excellent sound design, make a place where danger lurks around every corner. & #39;Unrest& #39; is an iconic song.

Kiryu and Haruka& #39;s friendship was really well executed, the way they grew to trust and rely on eachother was very moving. This idea that & #39;family& #39; isn& #39;t bound by blood is expanded on in later entries, but the heart of it is right here. Kiryu and Haruka, family by choice.

Kiryu is punished for his morality. His self sacrifice leads to pain for him and the people he tries to protect. Nishiki and and Yumi go off the rails. He never learns his lesson that he needs to physically be there for the people he loves. Without support we& #39;re all lost.

to conclude
- Strong emotional core with themes of family and self-sacrifice. Haruka presents an oppurtunity for Kiryu to make up for his past mistakes. He wasn& #39;t there for Yumi but he& #39;s there for her daughter.
- Kiryu is the best
