To be honest, I couldn’t remember anything particular so I kept thinking, and then I remembered the very beginning. In the summer of 2011, I auditioned for Big Hit. +

To me, a bystander, “hey, do you also want to give it a try?”
I answered, “uh, yeah.“
I danced — “more?”
I sang — “more?”
I beatboxed — “more?”
I rapped — “more?”
I brought my saxophone and played it — “more?”
“I don’t have anything else.”
“Okay, I’ll contact you if you pass.” +

And then it was either after a month or two weeks, not too long later, that I was at a gaming cafe and got a call.
“Hello?”
And then I learned that I was the only person chosen in Daegu. Very excited, I said, “thank you.” I had some more time I paid for but just went home. +

I said, “Grandmother, I passed the audition! I did.”
"They are all swindlers. It's a trick. They're trying to play you."
I was convinced by her doubt, and adding to it, my father kept saying why 2AM would be in Big Hit, not JYP. So I assumed they are right. +

Then the company called my father, "we are real."
We went to Seoul to sign my contract. Arriving at the bus terminal, we were excited.
"We made it to the bus terminal. Let's go to the office now!"
We, father and I, got in a taxi, for the first time, and were charged 32,800 won*.+

(* the driver cheated and overcharged them.)
My father and I reminisce about it from time to time.
"That was a bit too much."
"He must have had some reason."
Signing the contact and coming into the practice room -- that was a magical thing to me. +

Because, it was the person in the Rookie Development Team, who is still with us, that gave me a chance who was just living a plain life. So I'd like to say thank you for giving me a chance and for making a magical thing happen to me. +

It was thanks to this that I was able to debut as a singer rather than stopping as a trainee and to meet ARMYs. #5thMusterinSeoul @BTS_twt
