Becoming a plant mama https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💃🏽" title="Woman dancing (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman dancing (mittlerer Hautton)">
Some of my first plants. From 2017. All the others died or got missing or destroyed.
Then I got these some time this year to celebrate a win. I travelled for a couple of days and came back to a dead plant [3rd frame].
Got these from different places and DIY repotted. Hoping they thrive.
Got a succulent and a cactus today.
I’ve gone down the Youtube rabbit hole sooo many times in the last couple of days, trying to take in everything I can about houseplants to be interested enough in propagation. And I’m giving it a try
So much gel.
A little color ain’t hurt nobody. Let’s welcome to the family this beautiful Oxalis Triangularis. This beauty closes like an umbrella at night and when disturbed.
Danish Crown Sansevieria aka Snake Plant aka Mother In-laws Tongue. Particularly excited for the growth of this beauty.
I decided to bring my succulent to work. To give my table some green. I just noticed that a leaf had fallen off and dry/soil propagated itself and it has new bud/bloom + roots grow out and I’m not sure what to do with it.

But super excited.
The baby succulent is doing wellllll #plantmama . Trying to see how many more babies the leaves can make.
The cactus potter is growing oxalis (?). I’m not sure how/why that is happening but I’m hereeeee for it!
This [former] big guy is, well, whatever it is now and I’m not sure what the problem is. It’s taller, but keeps looking weak and yellow and shedding. These are newer leaves on it. It’s so sad.
Got a Pothos and Coleus today https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">
I thought I got a Golden Pothos. But YouTube is telling me it’s a Marble Queen Pothos. I also just learnt about a new variety - Satin Pothos. And I want ittttt
You guys! As much as I’m wing this #Plant mama life, I’m clearly [tho almost unknowingly] doing something right. My succulent baby has had some growth. And the other leaves are growing tiny babies as well. The Ivy [elephant ear] has grown root and is ready to be potted.
I’ll take pictures when there’s better lighting. Stokeddddd https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">
2 weeks growth. The leaf it grew on rotted away and it rooted itself in the soil. And the other leaves we doing well as well https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤸🏽‍♀️" title="Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman cartwheeling (mittlerer Hautton)">
First picture the day I started propagating. 4 weeks later, today I have these roots. Should propagated more. I’ll pot this today, in shaa Allah and see how well it does.
The first 2 didn’t make it. But the flat cactus is also rooting sooo well. I think I should pot it.
Disposable Cups appreciation tweet.
Repotted my cacti and Oxalis into cute planters. And got 2 new plants yesterday.
#FridayBuy Ficus Elastica aka Rubber Plant. #PlantMama

I just put half my plant on a shelf that wasn’t meant for holding plants and I’m wondering if it’s too late to call the carpenter back.
#FridayBuy Anglaonema aka Chinese Evergreen. Love love the colors.
#FridayBuy Pilea aka Chinese Money Plant. Just found out this beauty made it to Harper& #39;s Bazaar’s most instagrammablen plant list
#FridayBuy a flowering succulent
#FridayBuy Paddle Cactus
Newest addition. Calathea Zebrina. It has such a beautiful green color.
#fridaybuy The Calthea Compactstar
#FridayBuy Peperomia Argyreia aka watermelon peperomia. This was an accidental happy find.
All the babies are fine now. I put them out here for about 2 weeks. Watering every Friday. Propagating some. It& #39;s time to find spots for them inside the house.
6 week later https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💃🏾" title="Woman dancing (durchschnittlich dunkler Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman dancing (durchschnittlich dunkler Hautton)">proud #plantmama
4 weeks later and most of them have roots #plantmama
8 Weeks later. My heart is full.
I didn& #39;t get much luck with the later cuttings I got. But I& #39;ve since learnt how to cut for propagation.
And my fastest rooting propagation. A weeks growth
What I& #39;ve done to my space. Still trying to figure it out.
Side table. Kitchen Cabinet. Bathroom light.
5 weeks later - water propagation results. 1 rooted. The other didn’t.
5 weeks later - soil propagation. Only this one has visible roots.
8 weeks later. I should separate them now. 2 weeks from the last update
Some growths in these as well. These grew out in 2 weeks.
While I was moaning about my plants weren’t doing so well, there were some growths as well. Like on the cacti. Also decided to cut some of the Pothos to propagate it case it doesn’t recover.
The plant recovered. I have 4 new leaves. And the propagations are also rooting beautifully. Super proud of these in particular as I’d almost given up on it. #plantmama
#plantmama the Rubber Plant as well. I have 2 new stems that are leafing well while the original one keeps drying out.
Good Morning. #PlantMama Tafiti here reporting for duty. This is what my table looks like this morning with 3 new babies.
