ALRIGHT, SO! this is going to be my full thread of livetweeting final fantasy 7 from beginning to end. i've never played this game, but i am aware of a few spoilers [yes yes aerith gets stabbed by you-know-who]. that's not going to stop me though! so enjoy as i probably die a lot

first thing to note: wow this game has a very long opening credits sequence. i sat through the whole thing wondering how long it was. i did see nomura's name in there though, ayyyy
side note, music was really good. expect me to say that a lot during this playthrough

i've already seen the remastered's version of the opening cutscene but god damn that music & intro gave me CHILLS. i can only imagine what kids playing this game felt like watching that for the first time. also, the graphics may look outdated but they still have a kind of charm!

i'm new to this sort of real time turn based combat so it's growing on me. i like how cloud has magic abilities right from the get go. also bolt is effective against a war machine. who coulda guessed
