Day 47 and first of three 2x06 breakdowns on my favourite #WynonnaEarp duos.

First up, and because it looks like there was a lot of bro-time at the weekend - the enduring gift that keeps on giving that is the WynHaught Brotp 😎 💙 🤠

I don't know why I love Nicole's "Sorry girl I got nothing" line so much.

But I really really do. 💜 It's something of the tone, or feeling, for their evolving professional and personal relationship.

Not to say that Wynonna desperate for work is cute af 😃

And of course this scene at the end of the show is absolutely pivotal.

Not only showing us what we all already know about Nicole - that lil' Miss Pleat in her Pants will gladly set a raging bonfire to regulation when it's Waverly in danger. 😍

But the crucial moment for me is that when Wynonna tells her to go after Tucker whilst she goes save her sister - Nicole *agrees*.

That's HUGE, you guys. Nicole has always respected Wynonna, and recognised her innate heroism - but to trust her with this? BIG fucking deal.
And that line of Wy's - and Nicole's almost childishly happy grin of acknowledgement, makes my heart go boom boom.

We're given to understand Nicole as always the responsible one, one of the 'adults' in any room she's in.

When's the last time, if ever, she's been in a gang? 😃
Okay, but this scene. THIS scene, you guys.

I apologise for the gif-splurge, but. I just really REALLY love this scene.

Pregnancy is usually shown on TV as this holy, sacred, spiritual and life-crowning event.

And yeah, I'm sure it is all those things. At times.

But that's usually the only perspective we're ever granted. And...is it too harsh to say, sometimes it feels...almost fetishized?
How much do I love therefore the micro-acting that conveys the rush of emotional communication that flashes between these two women who have grown to trust (and love) each other.

Nicole's immediate instinct: pull the door to, give Wynonna her privacy.

Second: does Waverly know?
And these lines are only a fraction of what their faces are saying.

It's all, Wow, and Congrats, and Are you okay?, and Not the best timing eh?, and, Tell me about it, but whatcha gonna do.

It's huge - but it's not absolutely everything. So I love Nicole's simple 'okay'.
And Wynonna loves it too.

It just feels very real, and very very female. All the mums I've ever known have not changed who they are, not fundamentally. So I love this little flash of female support. Totally different to the ways in which Doc and Dolls basically lose their shit.
But of course. It's #WynonnaEarp, and it's Nicole and Wynonna - so there is always, always, time for a little bit of parting female friendship trash talk. 😄

I know I keep saying this - but
#FightForWynonna for the representation of all sorts of stories we never get to see! ❤️
