summer is here and this means a lot of things, one of them is that we need to talk about swimming pools safety.
i’ve noticed an increased number of deaths in swimming pools in the past years, mostly children, so i think it’s important for everyone to know how to keep themselves and others as safe as possible.

here are 5 safety tips to keep in mind.
#1 NEVER KEEP KIDS UNATTENDED
never let kids out of your sight, no matter how good they are at swimming or how safe you think they are, have someone as a lifeguard at all times.
#2 TEACH EVERYONE HOW TO SWIM
kids included, it’s an important skill to have specially at a young age, don’t rely on floaties and these kind of stuff.
#3 THIS ISN’T A PLACE FOR PRANKS
i know y’all here to have fun but pranks have potential to be dangerous, being around water is always risky because you’re not water creatures (duh) so be cautious and responsible.
#4 LEARN BASIC FIRST AID AND CPR
this is an important skill to have in swimming pool and outside swimming pools, have at least one person around who can provide help when things go south, also, keep first aid kit nearby.
#5 SET POOL RULES
announce to everyone that they must follow certain rules around the swimming pool, like:
- no running
- no diving when it’s not deep enough
- no pushing and pulling
- never swim alone
- etc...
that’s all i have to say for now, stay safe and enjoy your summer.
