Just in time for #ESHG2019 – our preprint about CovReport, a new way to visualize gene coverage for diagnostic reports https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/671511v1 1/8
Both gene-level and exon-level coverage can be immediately appreciated and taken into consideration for further medical decisions 2/8
CovReport generates a one-glance summary (in PDF) that can be directly joined to the diagnostic report 3/8
It’s easy to use and does not require complex installation, works on Windows, Mac and Linux. Command line version of CovReport is also available - can be integrated into any bioinformatics pipeline 4/8
CovReport is now part of routine sequencing analysis at the Department of Medical Genetics at La Timone Hospital, Marseille 5/8

On a personal note, it was great working with my dad on this (he hasn’t worked on biology-related projects since he wrote the Genome Browser for Celera 20 years ago!) 7/8
