We learn that Pikmin 4 is NOT " Hey! Pikmin ", a 3DS spin-off, because Miyamoto himself confirms that Pikmin 4 is still in developpement
At that time, "Hey!Pikmin" was releasing 6 weeks later, on july 28 2017.

It talked about "changed gameplay" and the title not being "Pikmin 4". Seemed strange, which is why it wasn't payed attention.

In the #E32019 Nitendo Direct, it was confirmed that there are still games to be announced in 2019.
At this point, almost every important/Popular Nintendo franchise got a Switch game.

It would be logical to think that Pikmin 4 will be annouced soon; Considering the "Priority list" must have radically changed since 2016.
But nothing's sure:
This game's been talked about for now 4 years and it's predecessor was released 6 years ago in Japan.
