Intro thread for the upcoming otome spin-off of the KOF series, The King of Fighters: For Girls (AKA "KOF Otome").

For those not familiar with KOF, the general story is basically about fighters who are invited to a yearly tournament named The King of Fighters. Teams of 3 or 4 fighters duke it out for the title of The King of Fighters.

For this spin-off, you are a young lady who has recently gone broke and lost her job. You find a job opening at a training facility in Shibuya, Tokyo.
As the manager of the facility, the invitations to the King of Fighters tournament are dispatched to you.

Now, onto character introductions! Most characters are divided into 3 man teams with few exceptions. Names will be in last name, first name order whenever applicable

TEAM KYO

KUSANAGI KYO (草薙 京)

Heir of the Kusanagi clan, with the ability to manipulate fire. Kyo is a high school dropout, but his charisma knows know bounds.

Despite his strict upbringing, he is a delinquent. Cocky, yet well meaning. He goes wherever his interests take him and doesn't care for responsibilities and obligations. He may seem arrogant, but he cares for his loved ones. Enjoys writing poetry. Favorite food is fried fish.

NIKAIDO BENIMARU (二階堂 紅丸)

The son of a millionare, Benimaru is a model/pro fighter brimming with confidence.

A flirt who Respects Women(TM), but can come off as flighty. Despite this, he has a heart of gold. While flamboyant, when it comes to fighting he's here to win. His hair stays up using his ability to manipulate electricity.

An excitable young man who looks up to Kyo and idolizes him. Decidedly a VERY GOOD BOY, despite his various eccentricities.

He learned how to fight watching his idol do it whether in real time or taped. He dreams of manipulating fire. While knowing it is impossible, he is a hard worker who wants to make it come true. A goofy comic relief character who has a lot of heart. He sees everyone as a friend.

TERRY BOGARD

A street smart, charismatic and playful man who is friendly to all who meet him except the irredeemable and malicious.

Originating from Fatal Fury, Terry along with his younger brother Andy lost his adoptive father at a young age. This spurred him to spend a decade being trained by his father's mentor. He loves browsing the net and is somewhat of a freeter. Tends to pepper in English phrases.

ANDY BOGARD

Fighting style: Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu and Koppoken
Terry's younger brother, though a lot more quiet and modest than him. Andy is much more withdrawn and analytical than his older brother.

He has a bit of an inferiority complex and would like to one day best his brother. Andy also has a moe side! He's very self conscious about his height, and is somewhat allergic to romantic commitment. Any of these things will send him into hysterics and embarrass him.

HIGASHI JOE (ジョー・東)

Fighting style: Muay Thai
Joe is a Muay Thai champion, which comes as no surprise as he lived in Thailand for most of his life, training to snatch the title.

Always raring for a fight, Joe is a hot-blooded man who isn't afraid of talking his opponents down and taunting them. Loving attention and being in the spotlight, he is loud and boisterous. Very goofy and sees himself as a prodigy. His headband is a gift from his grandmother.

Note:
Ryo's full name is consistently written in katakana throughout the series. Pay no mind to it. This is probably because he is based in America, despite being a Japanese character

SAKAZAKI RYO

Fighting style: Kyokugenryu karate
After losing his mother at a young age, Ryo had to care for both himself and his younger sister Yuri when his father left to seek revenge.

He is best friends and rivals with Robert, and unlike his best friend he has little taste when it comes to fashion and culture. Blunt and disciplined, he recognizes his flaws and believes that all can be overcome through hard work. He is very passionate about his father's dojo.

ROBERT GARCIA
CV: Okamoto Kazuhiro
Height/Weight: 180cm/85kg
Birthday: 12/25
Country: Italy
Fighting style: Kyokugenryu karate
Robert is by all means Ryo's polar opposite, despite their deep friendship. Fashionable, intelligent and above all else a talented fighter. Also rich!

He seems perfect at first glance with his endless charisma and ability to work his way through everything, but he may act cocky and self-assured at times. Despite this, Robert has a heart rife with good and justice, and will not hesitate to come to the aid of his loved ones.

BAO (包 (パオ))
CV: Shun Horie
Height/Weight: 153cm/40kg
Birthday: 7/18
Country: China
Fighting style: Chinese kung fu + psychic powers
Born on a cursed day that only occurs every 200 years, Bao's parents abandoned him at a temple. At age 12, he began exhibiting strange powers.

The head priest handed him over to Chin Gentsai, who became his caretaker and teacher. He joins Team Psycho Soldier, but for some reason in this work he's with Ryo.
Bao tries to live like any normal 12 year old. Happy-go-lucky and eccentric, he enjoys online games and fishing.

Sidenote: I forgot to include team images for the last two...
Also, Shingo's birthday is 4/8, I also forgot to include it,, hopefully no more mistakes! If I get anything wrong let me know. Oh, and Bao's name is always officially romanized as that

Fighting style: ....it's.. "violence".
Kidnapped at a young age and trained to be a weapon, the day came where K' had his DNA fused with Kusanagi Kyo's. This gave him the ability to manipulate fire.

K' is a very gruff kinda guy. He's a bit anti-social, rarely ever letting his guard down around people. Arrogant and rude, he often calls people names. He is often called immature and whiny by other characters, so I can super see him being the tsundere character of this work...

Maxima

After losing a comrade, Maxima decided to discard his old life by changing his face and identity. He became a cyborg with superhuman strength and some cyberpathy.

Of the two, Maxima is the more sociable one. He often handles social situations for K' and apologizes for his rude behavior. While serious about his duties, he does have a cute side. He loves sweets, and is so mellow that characters often think he's bit older than he is.

The mysterious Nagi's mysterious right hand man. He seems to look down on the weak.

Geese Howard's right hand man, Billy is a criminal. While not an evil man, he is not a good guy either. Though his main goal is money, he respects his boss deeply.

He has a little sister named Lilly and is deeply protective of her. He hates smokers, going as far as to assault them. He loves doing the laundry and is able to play the guitar, as he was in a rock band back home. He has a softer side that is apparent with his friends and allies.

YAGAMI IORI (八神 庵)

Heir to the Yagami clan and Kyo's bitter rival, Iori is a sadistic loner tormented by the blood of Orochi.

Iori HATES Kyo (he's tsun). His lonesome nature may be due to a fear of harming others lest his cursed Orochi blood takes over. As a result, he rarely socializes... but his attitude ranges from distant but civil to beating his teammates to near death. He plays in a jazz band.

Your boss and the one who put out the work application for the training facility. Has a wife and kids.
In the original series he often teams up with Kyo and Benimaru.

A warm-hearted man who enjoys teaching judo to everyone, including kids. He is usually the most mature and calm person in the room, happy to act as an advisor and a mediator. He isn't popular with women due to his intimidating size, so he feels blessed to have met his wife.

SIE KENSOU (椎 拳崇)

Fighting style: Psychic powers + Chinese kung fu + Wing Chun
A Chinese youth who trains under the same master as Bao. It is implied he may have been an orphan as well, but it's not too clear.

Bao's adoptive "big bro" is an outgoing young man with a good sense of humor. He infamously hates training and can be lazy at times. He and Bao share the same source of psycho power (the Dragon Spirit). His hobbies include reading shounen manga and his favorite food is nikuman.

YAMAZAKI RYUJI (山崎 竜二)

Fighting style: Combative homocide
Yamazaki is a violent psychopath who can go from 0 to 100 at a drop of a hat. He enjoys maiming and murdering others and indulges in materialism.

After losing his father figure die a cruel death, he lost all semblence of his sanity. A fearful criminal, he enjoys dominating everyone he meets. Like Iori, he carries the cursed blood of Orochi, but is immune to its effects as he is already insane.

KIM KAPHWAN
Height/Weight: 176cm/78kg
Birthday: 12/21
Country: South Korea
Fighting style: Taekwondo
A Korean national hero who has a deep hatred for evil and a great passion for justice. Using his influence, he was able to break out two criminals and turn them into his students.

Believing that discipline can end evil, he aims to rehabilitate them. Being a perfectionist, he can be strict to the point of abuse. Hypocrite...?
He has a good relationship with many KOF regulars and is married with a wife and two sons. Apparently, Kim can't handle his liquor.

JHUN HOON
Height/Weight: 177cm/77kg
Birthday: 7/26
Country: South Korea
Fighting style: Taekwondo
Kim's rival from childhood. He also heads his own dojo and is proud of his accomplishments. Upon noticing his rival's new project, he began to try to insert his own methods.

Though disciplined like any Taekwondo practioner should be, in his personal life he is a huge fan of moe culture and loves Jpop idols to the point of hysteria. His approach to rehab includes taking the two criminals to concerts. As a result his methods are seen as unconventional.

CHANG KOEHAN
Height/Weight: 227cm/306kg
Birthday: 10/21
Country: South Korea
Fighting style: Taekwondo + power striking
Once a violent criminal, he was recruited by Kim for his rehabilitation project. Potential was seen in his power to be used for the purpose of justice.

At first, Chang (along with Choi) often attempted to escape, much to their teacher's dismay, but soon gave up on such futile attempts and came to accept their fate. After mellowing out, he is now a lethargic and goofy man. Maybe the rehab worked a bit?

CHOI BOUNGE
Height/Weight: 153cm/44kg
Birthday: 10/25
Country: South Korea
Fighting style: Taekwondo + speed brawling
Choi was a criminal who often stalked victims and attacked them late at night. One night he was unlucky enough to choose Kim as a victim and was defeated by him.

Just like Chang, Kim thought that his skills had potential to be used for good + "justice". He is a theatrical ham, ending his sentences in -de yansu and is generally a nuisance. He rarely takes things seriously and loves to slice human flesh. He has however lost some bloodlust.
