Is it acceptable to ship Sansa Stark and Steve Rogers?

*opens AO3*

Who knew if the reality and space stones got too close you could end up in a different universe? Not Steve fucking Rogers. He does now though, standing in front of woman they called the Queen in the North.
*forty chapters later*

The dungeons of Pyke were no place for his Queen. His Queen. Not words Steve would have ever considered uttering only a few months ago. Now, kicking in a massive set of wooden doors, knowing Sansa is behind them, no words ever rang more true in his heart.
It had been a long time since Sansa waited for rescue. In the past rescue had never come, she'd always had to find a way to save herself. This time though, for the first time, a man had lived up to his word. Steve Rogers of Brooklyn had come for her when no other man could...
Brave and gentle and strong. That's what father had said, all those years ago. She'd known few men who lived up to those words, let alone all three together. That was the man who'd walked through worlds to her, a love not looked for, but that fate had decided to grant them both.
Okay, okay I'll stop, but like...I THINK I TALKED MYSELF INTO THIS ONE V. NICELY.

Remember kids, ship and let ship. Don't yuck someone else's yum. Play nice in the fandom sandbox and don't be a dick.
"How did you find yourself in my kingdom?"
"I always tell the truth, ma'am, but I'm not sure if you'll believe it."
"My brother can warg himself into a crow, my sister can steal the faces of the dead and my cousin rose from the dead and can ride dragons. Try me."
Reader...she did not stop.

"You came."
"I did."
"By yourself."
"Bran is marching from the South, Jon from the North, but it was taking too long, everything here takes too long and I swore my shield to your service, your Grace."
I HAVE ALWAYS LOATHED CROSSOVER FIC. WHO EVEN AM I RIGHT NOW?!
I mean, yeah, it's definitely because I want @SophieT and @ChrisEvans on my screen together at some point, but like...also this weirdly works?
“You mean to leave then?”
“I never meant to come in the first place.”
“Those stones you spoke of, they remind me of a woman I once knew. Perhaps her Order will know how to get you home.”
“Sansa, I...”
“Please, Captain Rogers, I know what it is to lose one’s home, one’s family.”
I CANNOT BE STOPPED. I WILL NOT BE STOPPED.
I'd like to inform all of you that @BriannaShrum is a terrible influence and thus this thread will likely devolve very shortly. You've been WARNED.
"I don't understand."
"I cannot take a husband. He would have to forsake his House for his heirs to be mine. There must be a Stark at Winterfell, always. But I do not want anyone who would do so...simply for the sake of power."
"So you want me to..."
"Would that be so terrible?"
"But I'm leaving..."
"You are."
"And I'd...leave the child, my child here?"
"I...yes, I suppose..."
"Sansa, do you...do you want me to stay?"
"I..don't...do you want to stay?"
"If you don't know then..."
"Sansa!" (a little too loudly and then at a whisper) "I do as my Queen commands."
"I do not wish to command you. In anything."
"Not in *anything*? You can't think of one thing which you would like to..."
"Captain Rogers..."
"Yes, your Grace?"
I HATE MYSELF. I PLAYED MYSELF, PEOPLE. THIS IS TERRIBLE. TERRIBLEEEEEEE.
Nearly all of this is out of order, btw. Like, this little innuendo scene happens before he goes to rescue her on the Iron Islands and the first few tweets definitely take place after the set that come after them. UGHHHH.
Thanks to @Katharyn_Blair, Arya is here for a guest appearance..

"You're Arya, the Nightking slayer."
"Is that what they're calling me now?" ... "And you're the man from another world who melted the heart of the Queen in the North."
"I wouldn't say that."
"I would. Wanna spar?"
Yes, despite some of the gifs of him clean-shaven, Cap would be bearded for the vast majority of this. It's cold in the North, even during Spring.
"Your lords made it very clear what they think of me, your Grace and don't pretend like their opinions don't matter to you. I know they do."
"Of course their opinions matter to me, but that doesn't mean I..."
"You..."
"..."
"That's what I thought."
"You came back...it didn't work? I am so sorry."
"It..did work."
"But..."
"I couldn't...leave you, not when I..."
"Steve?"
"I've never said these words before because I thought I'd never feel this way again, but I love you, Sansa and I would stay by your side, if you'll have me."
Sorry, this is where I live now. I'm staying forever.
“I see the way you look at her.”
“And what way is that Ser Brienne?”
“Like you can’t believe she exists.”
“I can’t believe any of this exists.”
“Of course Captain, of course.”
Yep I’m baaaaack. Because Steve and Brienne would have A LOT in common and the hoops she’d make that man jump through to make sure he was good enough for Sansa. Hooooboy.
“So he’s not your brother?”
“No, but in my heart he is.”
“Yeah, I know what that feels like.”
“He was our King and I failed him.”
“Somehow I don’t think he sees it that way...” ... Oh.”
“Indeed. You didn’t fail Bucky, Steve. No more than I failed Jon” ... “What?”
“It seems my destiny is to be surrounded by women a whole lot smarter than I am.”
“There are worse fates.”
“You’ve done well here.”
“It’s not the first time I’ve had to...acclimate myself.”
“You make a habit of trading one world for another?”
“Seems that way.”
“Perhaps, one day, you could tell me about it, your world or is it worlds?”
“Just the one, ma’am. I think you’d like it.”
"Only the worthy can lift it."
*Gendry nearly bursts a blood vessel*
*Tormund downs a cask of fermented goats milk and almost shits himself*
*Arya snorts* "No thanks."
*Steve lifts an eyebrow at Brienne and smiles* "Go on."
Brienne grimaces & clasps Mjölnir lifting it with ease.
BRIENNE IS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WHOLE OF WESTEROS WHO CAN LIFT IT. FIGHT ME.
He was a revelation. She'd heard that with a good man it could be lovely, but this was bliss incarnate. Her skin sang with a heretofore unknown sensations. Every touch of his hands, his mouth, his body brought frissons of pure joy & afterwards, contentment like she'd never known.
You're welcome and you don't even what to know what I had to google to find that gif, so you're EXTRA WELCOME.
Anyway...
"The scars, they're ugly...they're..."
"A part of you," Steve rasped, brushing his lips along one at the base of her spine. "I hate that he hurt you, but I love every part of you, Sansa. Every part, even the parts you don't love, especially those."
By request of @AwYeahMrB:
"Anyone else?" Steve asks, looking to Jon, who smiles and shakes his head. Ghost wanders from Jon's knee to the hammer, sniffs it with interest, then lifts it by its handle and brings it to his master and sets it at the feet of the King Beyond the Wall.
AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

THE END.

(for now)
