Started Chernobyl last night and it’s just always nice to get a reminder to be endlessly grateful that I got to be an American and not grow up in a backward ass country that is more concerned with the embarrassment of a nuclear accident than its deadly ramifications.
There were heroes and this isn’t a shot at individual Russians (wity whom I feel an affinity and something like a kinship) but of a state that didn’t care at all about its people.
People in my mentions saying US is just as bad-you lucky people who get to not understand.
“America sucks!” screamed all the people in my mentions who can leave anytime they want. The moment we could leave the Soviet Union, we did. Anyone who could, did.
Muting this thread because the Communists are still at it in my mentions but don't worry I'm working on a piece about the show expanding on my tweet and you'll get to yell at me all over again (except for the hundreds of straight lunatics I muted).
