I feel like we don& #39;t talk enough about the oversexualisation of Yoongi in the shipping community but idk of people are ready for that talk yet

Okay I& #39;m at work so I& #39;ll be adding things to this slowly but I want to talk about it bc it is happening just too much. And I& #39;ve seen this from shipping accounts of every Yoongi ship (except maybe namgi but I& #39;m not active there so idk)
First of all, I am not talking about nsfw art or fics!! Creative work is a whole different topic and not what I mean in this case
The thing is, Yoongi is of course someone with a strong "duality" in his character (which is totally normal btw, it is just very obvious with him) because he is more introverted and less openly affectionate but we also see a very soft and sweet side of him!
People seem to have problems with characters that aren& #39;t one dimensional and kind of put him either into one box or the other and use either one of those strong characteristics to oversexualise him on twitter.
And I& #39;m not talking about the occasional "he is so hot!" or "imagine him doing this with this member", I& #39;m talking about some accounts contantly talking about him being needy, wanting d*ck or portraying him as some sex obsessed animal that is only good for aggressive hipthrusting
Another big thing in this discussion is of course sex dynamics. People that claim that he (or any other member for that matter) is a top or bottom and act as if this was the basis for his character are feeding into those toxic oversexualisations.
And I& #39;m talking about top AND bottom Yoongi stans. Sexual preferences are not characteristics and we shouldn& #39;t portray someone based on /our/ preferance of their sexual actions. It. Is. Not. Right.
I see so so many people sexualising him on the daily without even noticing because they somehow think that this only happens when a straight girl talks about her own fantasies about him. But it happens in the shippi g community as well and is just as bad.
So, the next time you tweet about him being a needy sex-yearning boy just because he is small and has a soft side or portray him as a dominant aggressive sex monster because he is more introverted, please think about what you are doing and be more aware of it.
