The more we are alone with God the harder it becomes for people to pull you away from Him, whoever that may be who has those desires. Because He has a strong-hold on your heart. What you used to desire becomes less and less important and He becomes more important.

Also when the closeness occurs, this is when nothing else will do, as far as earthly pleasures go! Nothing else will do. You’ll consult God in everything because you wanna always be where He wants you to be, and you always want to be pleasing in His sight, no matter what it costs

I think it’s also important to note that people who haven’t experienced this level of intimacy will have a hard time understanding why you’re so seriously devoted to doing God’s will.
