Almost 13 years of marriage. There have been a lot of low points due to my stupidity. But stressing my “masculinity” has never contributed to the high points. I really don’t understand that whole sphere of twitter.

Everyone wants to rule their house like Judah wrestling with God. No one wants to struggle ruling as the man left with a limp and God’s blessing.

Yes, I meant Jacob not Judah. That’s an embarrassing error.

The point remains, the men who “rule” in youth and force are oft humbled by debilitating encounters with God. From those encounters they learn true shepherding in wisdom and grace.

This whole “red pill” nonsense is ruling as a young stag version of Jacob without the wisdom & grace of the ages elder who would bless his children.

Scripture does not declare that only old men are wise. But young men are oft very stupid.

Young men are to learn to shepherd from the old men who have been touched by God and given a limp. They shepherd through wisdom not might. Words not muscle.

The vitriolic spirit for war is spent tearing down the church instead of building it up. No wonder many young men struggle to shepherd churches. They are completely clueless about shepherding through their limping words.
