Here’s the thing, she was displaying symptoms of a female heart attack.

We know men and women experience different heart attack symptoms but culturally we’re generally only aware of male symptoms because of sexism in medical testing and information sharing.

Here’s the other thing, given that most doctors are fucking clueless about the health care needs of trans people, I think it’s reasonable to assume that doctors were assuming this woman would experience male heart attack symptoms.

They clearly missed the boat here.

I mean that’s what the transphobe taunt us with. “Your doctor NEEDS to know you’re MALE or you will die.”

Well no, the doctor needs to know we’re trans because hormones affect so many health factors.
