#wednesdaythoughts
I know many women , 45 & older, who are childless. Over the years, several of them have expressed to me their thoughts on not having children. Ultimately, it became clear that those women were unhappy with their choice. These women spent their most productive
years working on careers & attaining Master's degrees. They have done well in their chosen fields &, are highly respected. They have nice houses, newer vehicles, & are financially independent. A few of them have been married & divorced multiple times. It seems that no matter what
they try, they can't find happiness. Almost all of them are pet owners & dote on their pets as one would dote on their children. Even as the pets help to fill a void, one can't help to get the impression that these women are lonely. There will be no Mother's Day gifts for these
women. There will be no grandchildren to sit in Grandma's lap. There will be no one to come see them after their friends have passed away. They will sit alone, eating their bland soup & contemplating their existential demise. Eventually, people will come. These people will be
health care providers, food delivery workers (meals on wheels), and an occasional salesman. Finally, the coroner will come to take their lifeless, cold corpses away. In the end, there was no one left to care. These women were sold a big lie. They rejected the joys of raising a
family in favor of a life of self-fulfillment & self-indulgence. In the end, family is all that matters. Without someone to share it with, the degree on your wall means nothing. The money in your bank account means nothing (it will go to charity or the government). I'm not
trying to make anyone feel bad. I also realize that some women are unable to have children. Hopefully, the aforementioned will find meaningful relationships that will stand the test of time. I want to see a resurgence of the family. I want people to have children & plenty of them
I want people to realize that the family is the most important unit in society. Without it, we have nothing.
