so with ramadan coming up I wanted to give some small reminders to all my muslim friends on here so let's start:
ramadan is the month of fasting NOT the most of eating so please don't make it all about the food at iftar DON'T overeat as that will totally ruin the purpose and also ruins the health benefits of fasting
we love to go all out for iftar and then put almost no attention on suhoor when it actually has to be the complete opposite. suhoor is a much more important meal and that's were we should eat more than at iftar BUT still don't overeat
last thing on food: don't eat too many different dishes at once bc that's hard on the stomach
and again please don't make it all about the food! ramadan is a month were we should entirely focus to recharge our spiritualty so read the quran as much as you can, do your prayers, don't neglect tarawih, have some self-reflecting time
be patient! don't focus on the patience for not eating and drinking for the day, the patience is even more important in our actions and thoughts
SO don't get mad at people, don't get into fights, don't get angry easily and forgive people! make ramadan all about positivity and bettering yourself and taking that with you for the next 11 months until the next ramadan bc remember ramadan is about recharging
with all that being said I hope we all have a fulfilling ramadan with nothing but patience and positivity and disciplining our nafs ❤️
