me re: our upcoming Wiccan/Hulkling comic:
the best scene on TV in a v long time. it has the optics of just "oh he sings good", but the point is the insistent forthright corniness. David's traumas (and upbringing - Moira's fire alarm aside) have taught him to hide behind cynicism and irony.
David's arc has shown us just how much damage he has sustained - cruel ppl casting him aside, careless men incorporating him into open relationships they don't care to register he doesn't want - and how many frantic walls he has put up to seal that off. But Patrick has no guile.
