Song Mino Artist thread - a compilation of all his artworks

Mino started drawing as a hobby, he never took lessons but these were the kind of drawings he was doing in 6th grade & predebut

Most of his earlier drawings were mostly done with pen/pencil/marker but he was already impressive

Not limiting himself to paper he was already customizing things
with his name

Mino started gaining attention for his drawing skills as soon as he debuted & he showed more of his pieces at WWIC in 2015

He was constantly trending on pann with knetz being amazed at how good he was, this was back when smtm was airing

He's great at doing caricatures here's his drawing of the 4 Radio Star MCs

His drawings are just so impressive the amount of details he puts in there are just wow

Mino paints as well which gave us some of his greatest pieces

Why Mino likes to draw/paint:

"Even if I say I pour my heart into writing a song, truthfully, it's limited expression. As time passes and more ppl get to me, it feels as tho I almost have to filter what I say...

But with art, those restrictions don't exist. So when I draw, I solve those inner feelings I couldn't write down in lyrics by expressing them by pieces of a puzzle, configured in a way that only I can know"

Mino once again gained attention for his drawing skills on the popular show njttw. His quick but accurate sketches on a speed quizz + amazing drawing on a t-shirt impressed everyone

This led tvn to ask him to draw the logo for their spin off Kang Kitchen which he did receiving much praise. He drew different logos until the final one shown in the last pic

He also showed more of his artworks for Kang Kitchen which he drew on the spot & hung on their wall, amazing work of art

With his growing recognition as an artist, Mino held his own exhibit with Gentle Monster called "Burning Planet". Mino created a whole new world being a reflection of today's society, showing how people get "burned out" doing things repeatedly w/o a purpose, seeking happiness

Mino did everything for Burning Planet, he painted, did art installations & created the whole concept for which he worked on for 6-7 months

Mino was also part of Adidas exhibit where his oil paintings were displayed

Mino also got to do an impressive live drawing of his own life story with a legend in the field, one & only Kim Junggi

That drawing was extremely impressive as it actually spelled "W-I-N-N-E-R" as the center of Mino life story

Mino also mastered digital art as he drew this piece on a tablet for the first time *mindblown*

Mino is a highly creative person always learning & experimenting with new things, here's a clay figure he made himself

Here's a mannequin Mino made & used as prop for his own comeback stage, he did it all by himself!

He also painted his own MV set which is something you would never see idols do but Mino is a multitalented artist who can do it all

Mino also took part in Leica exhibit celebrating their 20th anniversary, he got invited as a photographer & showed the pics he took alongside other famous photographers, yes he takes great pics too!

He usually does it upon request while on shows so these are fast sketches yet they look so beautifully done

Mino is a very versatile artist whose style has evolved throughout the years. From using pen/pencil/marker to watercolor & now oil on canvas & even digital art, He can do them all & is constantly learning new techniques

Mino did the cover art of WINNER pre-release single "Pricked", here are the few drawings he did until the final cover

Mino drew the kids from Half moon friends, a show WINNER was part of in 2016. Jtbc also used his drawings illustrating some scenes from the show

This one in particular was made from a conversation with the kids after telling ghost stories

Mino's room is full of his paintings and more were shown on TV when he guested on Human Intelligence with Kim Junggi. Some of them also appeared in WINNER MV Millions

Mino drew the logo on the "WINNER TEE", exclusive merch part of Adidas new campaign "Wear Seoul with WINNER", there's just no limits to his talent
