Here’s a thread of the new weaponry added to India’s military might in these 5 yrs of NDA tenure from 2014 to 2019. Weapons under induction phase, testing phase & procurement process.

1. RAFALE

IAF will be receiving 36 units of the air dominance warcrafts from France under a € 7.8 Billion deal. Induction starts from September 2019 and will be fully inducted by 2022. The aircraft will be a game changer in the air warfare of the subcontinent.

BOEING APACHE AH-64E

These attack helicopters will be inducted by IAF by July 2019 in batches. A total of 22 longbow attack choppers will be the most advanced version of the US based Boeing Systems, capable to take attack on ground and air to air combats. Beast!

BOEING CH-47F CHINOOK

The Indian Air Force inducted the first four CH-47F (I) Chinook helicopters into its fleet of aircraft in March 2019 and will be get the remaining 11 by March 2020. Significantly boosting the heavy lift capabilities, night operations at high altitudes.

KAMOV KA-226 Chopper

Russian made light utility helicopters are twin engine choppers. IAF will be getting 200 out of which 60 will be made in Russia and remaining will be manufactured in India as JV.

Dhanush 155mm towed Howitzer is just recently inducted in the artillery regiment. Currently 114 units are ordered for the Indian Army Artillery regiment, this order is expected to reach 414 in future. Manufactured by OFB, a Make In India product and multi terrain all weather gun.

K9 Vajra-T (Artillery Gun) RFP was passed in 2011 but it was in 2014 that the procurement was given a push looking at the urgent requirement of modern artillery gun. These are 155mm/52 caliber guns.

M777 Ultra Light Howitzers from USA under $ 600Million deal in Nov 2016 makes it one formidable weapon for remote areas & difficult terrains. It’s rapid deployment and extreme accuracy makes it a key buy for the armour. Complete delivery is scheduled by 2020 few hv been inducted.

Now comes the Boss, S400 - Triumph! Ultimate air defence system from Russia. Undoubtedly the best procurement made by Indian Govt. of all the deals. These batteries 5 in number will be the game changer in air strike capability & air defence shield. Engages target upto 400km away!

Spike ATMG. Spike is an Israeli fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile and anti-personnel missile with a tandem-charge HEAT warhead, currently in its fourth-generation.
It is in its very initial stages of induction and might get replaced even with NAG indigenous missile.

Project 11356 - Stealth Frigates (Admiral Grigorovich-Class) four in numbers with two made in Russia and two to be Made In India (Goa Shipyard) was signed on 20 Nov’2018. The deliveries are expected to be completed by 2026. The frigates will be equipped with Brahmos Missile too!

Indian Army will soon be getting LSV Armoured Vehicles, under Make In India project by Kalyani Group. The 5 seater armoured vehicle has cargo space and is equipped for special missions. Inspired by Hummer SUV it is also called Light Strike Vehicle!
BMF Vehicle are also inducted!

Along with TATA, Kalyani Group, Mahindra & several private partners are working to provide specialist vehicles to CRPF and Special Forces to tackle Terror and Naxal attacks. A lot of vehicles hv been inducted & many are yet to be commissioned.
Specialised Vehicles coming soon:

Akula Class Nuclear powered attack submarine. An inter governmental agreement will give an edge to Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean region, delivery is expected by 2025 and will be christened as Chakra- III. It will be serving under lease period of 10yrs & wl be used in training.

INS Arighat (Nuclear Powered Ballistic Missile Submarine) a second variant of INS Arihant will hv twice as many hatches is capable of carrying more missiles & has a more powerful reactor. Another 2 submarines are undergoing final phase correction. Arighat wl be inducted in 2019.

3rd Generation Anti Tank Guided Missile ATGM now called NAG or Helina ATGM has completed its successful trials with the Army and is slated to enter production by end of 2019. Developed by DRDO it’s an exclusive indigenous program & Indian Army is expected to purchase 8000 units.

A significant boost to the Indian Air Force after the Government has approved 54 Israeli HAROP attack drones along with the US made Predator attack drones also to be ordered soon. Under project Cheetah, India & Israel will be converting existing drones to Attack drones over a yr.

TATA Kestrel an armoured personnel carrier developed by TATA & DRDO and is fitted with 30mm Autocannon, 7.62 coaxial machine gun & 40mm Grenade launcher. It can also add up with 2 anti-tank guided missile launcher. This is most advanced version of Troop movement attack vehicle.

245 units of US Stinger Air to Air Missile with launchers will be inducted in Indian Army under the contract signed in April 2016. The supersonic, highly accurate guidance & lethal warhead gives Stinger d operational advantage over all class of Helicopters. Will bolster AirPower.

US - Predator C/Avenger (100 units)
All under the project of inducting 5000 drones over a period of 10yrs and designating separate regiment for Drones.

Indian Government has fast tracked the procurement of Advanced Carbines, Sniper Rifles, Head Gear with Night vision system, Bullet Proof Jackets and multi role operational military equipments under fast track purchases which facilitates the forces to do faster off shelf purchases

The message to the Stone Pelters should be loud and clear, @DefenceMinIndia has cleared the procurement of Long Range Acoustic Device/Cannon which uses the Sound Pulse Pressure to disperse the mobs and pelters! The device will replace pellet guns in the Kashmir valley soon!
