#bakudeku Pro Katsuki/Quirkless Izuku on an actually blindfolded blind date.

The only part Bakugo hated about being a Pro-Hero is how everyone acted like they knew him.
So what if they've seen him on their tvs? There was more to Katsuki than Ground Zero.

Bakugo got around just fine, but he sucked at first dates. He always left angrier than he arrived and they never went anywhere. After wasting enough of his time he just quit trying.
That pissed his mom off. The old hag wouldn't shut up about grandbabies. Bakugo got so tired of hearing her blabber on about it every phone call or visit that he finally agreed to one of her set-ups. One blind date and never again.
Only she'd pick such a gimmicky excuse of a restaurant. Blind eating? The hell was that about? He grabbed the offered blindfold, tying it across his eyes instead of letting the hostess do it for him. With the world pitch black, they grabbed his elbow and steered him to his table.
He sat down to darkness, the restaurant surprisingly loud around him. Maybe being blind enhanced his hearing? Didn't enhance his other senses though because he nearly exploded the table when a voice spoke acrkss from him.
"Hello? Are you my date?"

Katsuki's ears burned with the words. The voice felt familiar yet forgotten like a favorite song lost to time. He wanted to trace the melody of the man's? natural pitch with his fingers, write it onto sheet paper to preserve it forever.
Instead, Bakugo grunted, "Guess so."

He regreted it immediately; his date goes quiet. He didn't hate the silence, never much into small talk, but he wanted to hear that voice again. Eventually he did.
"Okay, I'm terrible at this. Dates. Dating. Um. But this is fun! Being blindfolded and all. Kinda like a mystery."

"Yeah? Then let's keep it that way. No names or shit til the end."

"Really? Uh, I guess that's okay. What do you do for work then?"
"None of those bullshit canned questions either."

There was a pause but his date was quick on his feet.

"When quirks first appeared, no one knew what to make of them. Now they seem to get stronger and stronger with each generation. Do you ever think about what's next?"
And even though his date can't see it, Katsuki sent him a smirk.

"You some kind of nerd?"

Indignant sounds. A bark of a laugh. And then it's nothing but conversation. Not easy, but fun nonetheless. The nerd challenged him at every turn and GZ's sharp tongue got a work out.
Eating was surprisingly difficult. There was lots of food splatters and silverware lost to abyss. And then it had to end.

The waiter let them know they could remove their blindfolds now that dinner was complete but they hesitated.
"Oi, nerd. This was fun."

"Yeah it was."

"...Want to try this again without the blindfolds next time?"

Katsuki could hear the smile in his date's voice.

"Sure, Kacchan."
