A lot of men perform for other men. Any man stating otherwise is a liar & is being disingenuous...
Otherwise, sayings like “bros before hoes” “man up” “real men don’t cry” would be nonexistent. They’re all methods that men use to prove themselves to other men.

A lot of men go out of their way to appease other men & prove they’re “masculine” to other men. It’s them trying their hardest to prove their “manliness” to other men. Especially after being viewed as “weak” to other men *cough Terry Crews*.
It’s called hypermasculinity. Hypermasculinity is a psychological term for the exaggeration of stereotypical male behavior. Basically men who put an emphasis on physical strength, aggression, & sexuality. Psychologist view this as a plague on modern men (they’re right).
These men are very insecure with themselves which is why they have to exaggerate & overcompensate so much regarding their own existences. These men are afraid of what other men think about them. It’s not women they’re worried about because to them “my bros >> what women think.
A lot of men go out of their way to prove they have sex with women to prove themselves to other men with crap like “I GET B*TCHES!”. It’s not about women, it’s about them proving themselves to other men.
& These men are the same men to say that “women stay in competition with each other”. Yeah, sure some women may internalize misogyny & believe other women are a threat. But you dudes sit around & compare “body counts” & past flings (I GET B*TCHES).
Men seek acceptance all of the time from one another. I see it daily. Any man arguing otherwise is a liar!
