Ray’s Note to Krone 📝 A thread
[will contain major spoilers ⛔️]

So this all started with this translated interview with Shirai about an “unsolved mystery” that is Ray’s note to Krone. And then we all got curious so Chrome, Jen, Mordred, Tala and I from the TPN discord server decided to do some investigation. 🔍 (atm its just so wild)
It was stated that no one has guessed what the note was about so it couldn’t be the fact that Ray is Isabella’s son because that is the obvious choice. Another thing is that it was “another plot thread” Shirai is planning to pick up again, perhaps in the current arc. +
This means that the note has some kind of connection to the final arc and Ray knows MORE stuff than we could imagine.

Also, look at the cover of Volume 3, Ray is holding it.... kinda putting emphasis on it? But I think people are failing to notice it (me included at first 😂)
Okay first, these are the REQUIREMENTS for the note based on Krone’s reaction on chapter 22 and some other stuff we’ve gathered. I’ll discuss them one by one as we go along. (Take note that we might add some more because we are still theorizing as of the moment)
Nos 1-5 requirement based from these panels from chapter 22. Note that Ray isn’t supposed to know this but as we all know, he didn’t have infantile amnesia so Ray probably remembers something from when he was a baby at the hq. Krone knows it, because she’s from the hq (?)
Number 6: THE BOOK. Krone wasn’t sure if the info she read from the note was correct so she CHECKS. She used this particular book to do so and confirms its true. Notice the format of the book, there are charts... much like the list of all the kids’ numbers and their scores. 🤷🏻‍♀️
The format of the book is something like this (from chapter 17) in a chart form, possibly containing the numbers of kids and and their scores. It could contain anything tho.
Krone’s book is possibly not from the library and is something forbidden because +

In these panels (c22 p17) we can see that Krone got surprised when Isabella knocked and then hastily tried to close the suitcase in order to hide the book. They even put emohasis on the book as if that is something very important 🤔 we shall discuss about this book later on ☺️
Number 7: Multiple facts enclosed in the note. I had to check the raws for this one coz the eng trans was vague. When Grandma was reading the note, she says “So THESE THINGS huh,” (its plural) “these, plus the fact that the kids are planning to escape”. Not just one info there.
Number 8: It’d create a problem SPECIFICALLY for Grandma. Again, raws here. One thing I learned about jp writing is that if there are black dots beside a character it means that its VERY important. The one they’re putting emphasis on is “watakushi”/ “I”.
Note that the character was highlighted TWICE. As if the info is something that really concerns Grandma greatly. If I were to translate this, Grandma’s last line goes, “That will be a problem for ME.”
Number 9. Now here’s the juicy part. As mentioned in the interview, Shirai is planning to pick this up again so essentially, the note could probably be an important plot point in the final arc. What are we tackling currently? Demons, experimentations, promise, seven walls and...
The Ratris. We think that the note could be connected to Norman somehow, that Norman is indeed a Ratri. And Peter has a grand plan 🤩
I shall continue tomorrow?? Its late haha bye
Let’s continue.

Okay we have had a few assumptions but this is THEORY 1 for now, our best bet coz it corresponds to our requirements and we actually have supporting details for it. Credits to @TChrome_ for breaking it all down 🤩
Some details can support this. First, the BOOK. (Told ya it will be mentioned again). Krone actually gave it to Norman together with the pen and key molds evident in pic 1 and pic 2, it was even in Norman’s drawer and he saw it.
But.... It seems like Norman didn’t give it to Emma? Emma only received the letter, the pen and the key mold 🤭

Just what is in that book?? Perhaps Norman discovered something and didn’t want Emma to know about this for whatever reason 🙃
We also know that Norman didn’t bring it with him because he only had the string cups on his suitcase based from offscene 7.
So. where is the Book rn? Our guess is, it’s with PHIL! Look at the color page from chapter 72, we think its the same book. Also, remember how Norman told Phil to take care of everything? Perhaps there’s something more to that, he gave the book to him 🤭

Phil: “I’ll do my best”
Another detail, Andrew talked with Phil in c100. We didn’t get to know the reason why and what happened there BUT aside from the fact that they suspect Phil to know something about the escape, what if its also because he has the BOOK??

Andrew: “I’d like to have a talk with you.”
Andrew is an underling of Peter :D Now, how to tie Peter more into all of this? The answer is probably Grandma and Isabella. We suspect that they are working with / under Peter 🤔 What if the cause of Krone’s death is not bc she’s meddling too much but +
Because Peter commanded it. She knows about the book + she got the pen, they suspected her of being a Minerva supporter? It was all too convenient, after Krone’s death Norman’s shipment was then announced ?? Peter be working this all out.
I have been thinking for the longest time that Grandma and Isabella are plotting something thats maybe against (?) the demons, they have bigger plans and Peter is probably in it with them. Isabella in particular can make it happen as said by Grandma 🤔
Also, we can relate this to the Peter Pan parallels:

Peter Pan - Peter Ratri
TinkerBELL - IsaBELLa

It wound be nice if they’re actually working together based from that reference.
Speaking of peter pan parallels; Smee. If we are basing on the theory that Norman is a Ratri, that is probably the reason why Smee was so willing to help Norman, he was even willing to risk his life for him. I don’t think Smee would put his trust on a random smart boi in lambda🙃
I mentioned that Peter has a grand plan but tbh its still not clear to us (we are still looking it up). However, based on the happenings and his actions it seems like he is in control of everything. To be specific it seems like he’s on Norman’s side or at least +
He’s leaving Norman to his own devices, letting him do what he wants. Maybe he placed Norman in Lambda for a reason, as part of his plan. Not trying to discredit Norman’s achievements or anything we know he is a very smart and capable boi but
Isn’t weird that Peter hasn’t tried to reign him in when he destroyed Lambda and now continuously blowing up farms? We don’t even know if someone from the Ratri is actually chasing Norman at this point. Maybe Peter is letting it all happen because its “all according to keikaku”
Peter also seems to be tracking down only Emma’s group because they are on James’ side and well, they’re doing something against his plans. That’s the only retaliation we got from him...but then again he hasn’t been shown ever since the time skip so we’ll see.
Whether Norman is actually aware of this “grand plan” or not is a diff issue, he probably does given how smart he is + we dunno how much time they spent before Norman was sent to Lambda. Norman is prolly playing double agent too 🤷🏻‍♀️ (We’ll tackle this next time).
Now, what could be Peter’s direct connection here? Perhaps through Ray himself, specifically in the offscene 10 I recently translated. Peter read the same book titled “Mechanical Engineering and History of Mankind” when he was younger.... Did Ray find something there?? 🤔
Let’s discuss about Peter. We need to get to know him a bit if we believe that he is the master of this supposed big plan. The hints that he could be smarter than we all think are kind of subtle coz he’s being overshadowed by other smarter characters like James and Norman.
It is also worth noting that he uses “Boku” to refer to himself which is most commonly used by younger Japanese guys. (Yeah ik ray uses “ore” he’s too badass). This could PROBABLY mean he is quite young.
In the offscene 10 we learn that Peter and James had a pretty close bond. And that they read these kind of philosophical/political books, Peter at this age (assuming he’s 10) is already reading such stuff already.
In chapter 72, James literally said Peter had set the plan in motion. In the raws, James referred to him as “子” the kanji for child. We asked a translator about this to confirm and the kanji seems to be used loosely, not really to a child but someone at least 10 years younger 🤔
Maybe we’re reaching but there’s just something odd about Peter being that young and doing some kind of grand plan 😣
Another thing is Bayon’s monologue in chapter 84, he’s frustrated at Peter. It looks like he just got betrayed by him. Notice also how he referred to him as a “boy”.
The Bayon family has been confirmed to be one of the 5 regent families and among them, it seems like Peter has the most connection to Bayon household. This panel seems suspicious to me. “It had somehow been divulged.” (if i were to translate the bottom one)
How exactly did Peter find out about Bayon’s activities? And then we find out he offered the Goldy Pond as their hunting place... that seems to be a set up of some sort 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also that expression really looks sinister to me too....
(This is kinda off track) but I forgot to point this out earlier in the thread >< this illustration of Ray is from chapter 20, wherein the note was given to Krone. Notice what he’s holding +
it seems like its a picture of Isabella, if you compare it with the picture he took of her in the anime. His expression also looks smug, like he’s giving away something about Isabella; her weakness? 🤔
Okay I’m gonna be honest with you here, we realized this thread has become kinda disorganized and guess what; we are planning to complicate it more lol. So, I will be just randomly dumping our findings that could be connected to the note, ray and peter in here. 🤩
There are a lot of stuff we are currently looking into but we still can’t connect them all perfectly 😭 But yeah, I’ll just put them in here in case ppl wanna theorize with us too and because I think a lot of you are following this thread 🤣 Till then!
Okay so like, we have a discord server for the novel translations and while doing the typeset for novel 2 Mor found something in relation to the “Mechanical Engineering and Human History” book, Ray and Leslie.
(This is basically a leak for the Novel 2 trans but my team says its okay to share this here 🤫)

Isn’t it nice that Ray and Leslie are the same?? They both want to read all the books in GF!! And what’s interesting is this particular book is mentioned again!
Apparently the author put emphasis to it too... Take note that this is the same book young Peter read from the offscene. Just what is up with this book?! Anyways we have more info about it which I’ll prolly add next time 😋
Regarding the Mechanical Engineering and Human History book, this was the morse code inside. Mor tried to translate it and apparently it could be read as “Wall”. Could this be referring to the Seven Walls? 🤔 It actually makes sense coz rn where at that point in the manga 🤭
This is really weird to me. I’ve mentioned in this thread that Peter uses “boku” to refer to himself but when Norman first met him he used “watashi”. It’s more conspicuous if you see the jp raw. You will not realize it in english coz they both translate to “I”.
Maybe he used “watashi” for formality? Not sure but just wanna put this here just in case.

Also, note that the first pic was from chapter 73 and the 2nd one was from chapter 74. They showed Peter’s face in the previous chapter... WHY DO THEY HAVE TO SHADE IT ON THE NEXT ONE?
And idk if it’s just me but... the build of the Peter Norman saw looks different... maybe it’s a stretch but he looks older and bigger somehow. Something is shady here.

OR it might just be an inconsistency on Posuka’s art ><
