I'm so tired of all this fxxking drama... People should stop insulting and cancelling everyone, like if that were not toxic.

Stop blocking and making fun of those who support Ri / ot5. "They support him blindly". Well, you're hating him blindly in exchange.

Do you want to know why I'm still believing in Ri's innocence? Not only because I'm a fan, oh no, but bc I've been here for a veeeeery long time.

Long enough to know how scandals' work there. Long enough to know that media doesn't care about facts but about viral news. Long enough to know that truth has several faces. Long enough to know that it's wrong to ruin someone's life/career based on rumours & inconclusive proofs.

Long enough to know that haters can manipulate the info (f,e mistranslations), and that there will always be naive people believing it. Long enough to know that when women are involved in a case as supposed victims, fake feminists raise up.

Long enough to know about blackmail, defamation and fabricated proofs undercoverd by the media. And long enough to know that netizens love to play the "Judge, jury and executioner" game for free.

So yeah!
Pardon me if I'm still waiting for the case to be solved.
Pardon me if I believe the presumption of innocence (innocent until PROVEN guilty).
Pardon me if I want the victims to find the real culprit.
Pardon me if I stay by someone's side while weakers can't.

Pardon me if I don't cancel someone based on rumours and fake articles posted by unreliable news websites.
Pardon me if I wait for the official police statements.
And pardon me if I don't fit on your stupid "fandom standards".

I'll kick the ass of whoever turns out to be proven guilty (fan or not).

But DAMN, I prefer to regret having supported him/her and eat my words if that person turns out to be guilty, rather than regret to ruin an innocent person's career bc I decided not to believe in him/her.

The topic is still hot and I'm really tired of antis coming to my mentions spitting their poison. So I've decided I'll tweet about some of the greatest scandals in Korea that I remember to read about.

Cases in which the innocence of those involved was proved AFTER their image and careers were damaged, cases in which the media promoted hatred with confusing articles and where netizens jumped into the bandwagon only to post hateful comments.

With this I'm NOT saying that those cases are EXACTLY the same as BS' scandal and JJY's gc scandal (which let me remind you: those are 𝗧𝗪𝗢 different cases, so stop mixing them for your entertainment), but I'm trying to make a point: things are not always what they seem.

These were some of the scandals I remember the most. I learnt a lot through all these years about media manipulation and netizens acting blindly.
When someone becomes their target, they don't stop until reaching their goal. "Innocent" is not longer an option for them.

And don't even get me started on car accidents, weed smoking tests, music plagiarism reports, japan flags controversies, wrong outfits, mistranslated speechs, allegations of favouritism in the army, misinterpreted jokes, unproven street assaults, simulated pregnancies, and MORE.

Of course there're also cases where the accused was found guilty (Ko Youngwook sexually assaulted 3 minors, Lee Yountaek‘s sexual violence crimes, Producer A & Media's CEO on T.E.L band harassment, etc).
These were proven guilty and are paying/will pay for their horrible crimes.

And trust me, you won't find anyone mentally healthy supporting any of those criminal scumbags.

So stop blaming someone for supporting an accused (MAN or WOMAN) who's still under investigation and therefore is innocent until proven guilty (i'll repeat this again if needed).
