I wish there was a good introspective interview with Anvil, even if its just to get into his thoughts on the Hart Foundation. His role was so weird cos if you watch the older stuff he was the star. He did the talking, had the gimmick, showed the personality, and was the character
He was the man but he always shifted the focus to Bret. Jim would walk behind him, take his glasses off for him like a manager would do, from time to time he'd even give Bret the hot tag which looked crazy considering that he was the power and excitement of the team.
A lot of why Bret was immediately accepted as a singles star by the fans is due to how Neidhart presented him in their team. He was a lot more important than he’s given credit for. Anvil ruled.
