Okay, I know the tiger ban thread was kind of depressing for some people...but look, it gave me a new plot bunny.
But what if the fairy godmother who wasn't invited ...wasn't invited because she was a tiger lady? https://twitter.com/katjexia/status/1109343564423548929
And what if she showed up anyway because the baby was a little tiger girl and she wanted to make sure that they were treating the kid right?
Except when she was all "yay, it's a tiger girl, let her be all tigery and stuff", everyone was all "WE'D RATHER SHE BE DEAD".
And what if when everyone wanted to demure-ify the little girl, fudge her birthday, compress her into a sweet little heifer, and so she up and took the little girl away because the only reason the king and queen even had a daughter was through her wise woman skills?
And what if they lived in a tower deep in the forest, far far away from town, because otherwise the townspeople were prone to go tiger hunting for fun?
What if there really was danger in the outside world for a little tiger girl and her tiger auntie?
And what if a prince really did have to brave the thorns and dragon fire in order to rescue the princess - from the townspeople?
Perhaps he did have to lose all of what he considered to be Right and Proper (a sort of sight, if you will) in order to keep his true tiger love?
Turns out that the heroine is going to be the auntie tiger instead of the younger tiger princess.
I'm debating whether or not to intersperse chapters from the younger princess' POV. I'll start out doing that and see how it goes in the end. If auntie steals the show too much...
If people vote for Tyger Tyger over Kateri's story, then this will be the "relaxing" thing I work on for Patreon Mondays, spoons willing. Edits on Phoenix Awoken will still be the main focus during the week.
Apparently Tyger Tyger's heroine is the ancestress of Melisangre, heroine of my genderbent Sleeping Beauty. (yes, sorry, this is another WIP, but I promise I DO finish stories) https://www.wattpad.com/story/131774777-beast-a-re-telling
