So bear with me guys since for today I am going to translate all of the information that I have on Inejiro Asanuma (1898 - 1960), the japanese politician most widely known for being assassinated by Otoya Yamaguchi with his katana.
(1/?)
(2/?) Inejiro Asanuma, born in December 27th, 1898 in Miyake, Tokio.
He started his political journey joining ultra-nationalist youth circles that emerged after WW2 in Japan. He became a featured member in such a circle: Builders Alliance, founded in 1919.
(3/?) Asanuma began to take interest into socialism, which he considered should go hand-in-hand with japanese nationalism, being interested in authors such as Ikki Kita. He called this first version of his ideology "nationalsocialism" (which has nothing to do with the german ver)
(4/?) He graduated at university in 1923, after that he completely dedicated his time to politics. In 1925 he founds the Farmer-Laborist Party (nationalist, sindicalist and republican, binding it together concepts such as class struggle), but was dissolved by the authorities.
(5/?) Since they considered it subversive. He doesn't give up and forms a new party in 1926, the Laborist-Farmer Party [lol] which managed to develop its own theory of nationalist and anti-marxist socialism, rebranded as "National-Socialism".
(6/?) The party had the support of nationalist syndicate HyĹŤgikai, it grew as foam and gained a lot of support mainly from farmers, having 90K members in 1928 (year in which it was outlawed again). However, the party divided in 3 different factions, all with different ideas.
(7/?) The 3 factions: Social-Democratic Party (basically the Dems), Labor Party of Japan (lead by Asanuma and his proto-nazbol idea) and Farmers Party (most radical faction, real close to marxist ideals, which Asanuma himself opposed to).
(8/?) In 1932, Asanuma was being watched by the authorities for being considered as "subversive", came back excited for the invasion of Manchuria. In this year he founded the Social Party of the Masses, which advocated for a corporativist and totalitarian model of statecraft.
(9/?) Since he considered both capitalism and communism as 2 sides of the same coin, he entered into conflict with Aso Hisashi, the 2nd in command, who had the idea to mantain the monarchy and of an alliance with the military sector, which Asanuma despised.
(10/?) Asanuma distrusted Hisashi and considered him as a conservative lacking revolutionary spirit. However, in 1933, Asanuma would show himself as a fervent supporter of the military intervention in China and the expansion of Japan.
(11/?) Thus, affirming the destiny of the japanese nation of expanding its influence and also the superiority of the japanese volk. That very same year he becomes a member of the City Hall of Tokio.
Since here, he will sky-rocket an ascent within the world of Japanese politics.
(12/?) In 1936 he would become a member of the House of Representatives. In 1940, Prime Minister Fumimaro Konoe founded Taisei Yokusankai. The PM will name Asanuma as Deputy Director of the Department of Investigations for Temporal Elections.
(13/?) Later in 1940 his rival Aso Hisashi would die of a heart attack, which leads to Asanuma becoming the unopposed leader of his party. He will become member of the "Uyoku dantai" and will support decidely Hideki Tojo against Konoe. And will not race for the elections of 1942.
a(14/?) Thus, leaving General Tojo as the only candidate, which reaffirms the notion of him being the only man capable of leading Japan during the war. However, he will participate in the Metropolitan Conference of Tokio as a candidate, geting elected as Vice President of Tokio.
(15/?) Despite that, he will fail in his attempt to modify the national constitution. He will later tell the tale of being at his apartment in Shenzhen when the surrender of Japan was going to take place.
He describes listening the Emperor's speech as his most painful life exp.
(16/?) In 2nd of September, 1945, Japan signs the peace treaty with the US, turning that moment into a real humilliation for the japanese people, Asanuma included. And the Allies will occupy Japan until 1952, their country totally submitted to the United States.
(17/?) President Harry S. Truman will name Gral. Douglas MacArthur, supreme commander of the Allied Forces, to supervise the occupation of Japan. He got into Tokio by 30th of August of 1945 and declared many laws immediately, just like a new constitution (valid since 1947).
(18/?) During this period (1945-52) Japan will suffer a big scale dismantling of its military strength, at the same time the US will install many military facilities. During that period, Japan will become an strategic point to fight communism in China and Korea.
(19/?) A liberalization campaign of the country will be done (economy and society). And sooner than later, both their economy and society will become "americanized". Japan will open itself to american culture, its new constitution provided fundamental and civil liberties.
(20/?) Gave women the right to vote, abolished nobility and, maybe the most important thing, it turned the Emperor into a mere symbol, excluding him from politics. Shinto was abolished as official religion and christianity reappeared for the first time in decades.
(21/?) Therefore, Asanuma will become the main leader of the opposition against american occupation.
In November 2, 1945, exactly two months before Japan's surrender, the Socialist Party of Japan will be founded, and Asanuma will join it, becoming 3rd in line of leadership.
(22/?) Only after Kawakami Kutaro and Miwa Masanori, old acquaintances of Asanuma. In 1947, general secretary of the party, the radical Suehiro Nishio, is replaced by Tetsu Katayama, a reformist. Who will also pact with the americans abandoning the party's pretentions of facing..
(23/?) The occupation and for Japan to take back its national independance. Maybe this is what leads to Katayama being re-elected as PM that year (position he will mantain until March, 1948). During that year, Katayama's government will be servile to the interests of occupation.
(24/?) Collaborating with MacArthur's (the real puppeteer) project into perpetuating the occupation. This will cause the anger of many factions of the party, including obviously Asanuma. He will continously attack Katayama accusing him of being a sold out and as a traitor.
(25/?) Which will turn him into the voice of the radical faction. Asanuma, as many others in the party, considered the occupation as something humiliating, unworthy and opposed to the americanization of the country. advocating for Japan to reclaim its soveringty and US' expulsion
(26/?) When in 1949, Katayama failed his reelection, Asanuma will become the General Secretary of the Japanese Socialist Party. Since then, Asanuma will be on the top of the US' Blacklist in Japan (maybe only after Kyuichi Tokuda, leader of the Communist Party, purged in 1950).
(27/?) In 1951, he will head a nationalist meeting, IN WHICH BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT WILL UNITE AGAINST THE AMERICAN OCCUPATION #GiletsJaunes #NazbolGang and will denounce the treaty of San Francisco as a facade, which even if it ends the american occupation, its influence won't end.
(28/?) Denouncing as well the "Liberal Democrat Party" as anti-patriotic and as an instrument of INTERNATIONAL CAPITALISM to submit the will of the Japanese people to the guidelines of Washington and Wall Street.
[And of all of the Atlanticists Powers #4PT #Duginism].
(29/?) The radicalization of a wing of the party, and the reformist line of the other, inevitably lead to the progressive desintegration of the party. Since Asanuma could not stop the division, he started to combat the reformist line of the party and diminishing its influence.
(30/?) Asanuma, totally frustrated with his comrades and accusing the party of being full of sell-outs, capitalists, denounced his companions for "BEING ASLEEP WHILE THE CAPITALISTS DEVOUR OUR HOMELAND". For his character, rad speeches he will be nicknamed "The human locomotive".
(31/?) He also showed himself as a decided anti-communist as well, accusing the Soviet Union of being just as imperialist that wanted to submit all of the other natons around its orbit [like a thot] and accused the communist of being as just as antipatriotic as the capitalists.
(32/?) This speech would led the communists to accuse him of being a "Fascist" [and probably a nazi, white supreeemist and all of the other nonsense].
He was also enthusiastic supporter of the Non-Aligned Movement, praising leaders as Nasser and Sukarno.
(33/?) According to him, the destiny of Japan was to non-align itself to any superpower, because this would be the only way in which Japan could restablish its plain soverignty. Also he pointed at Sukarno as a model to follow for the new japanese nation. #Multipolarity #Ecumenism
(34/?) In 1955, he became the Secretary General of the party again, he would try to sought out an impossible internal unity that could be maintain. He will incorporate again the project for the youth of "nationalsocialism" in his speech.
(35/?) Asanuma will also embrace Pan-Asianism, affirming once again that the destiny of the japanese nation was to lead the charge for a Great Asian Socialist Union and the expulsion the american neocolonists from Asia. #4PT #Heartland #Ecumenism #Duginism #Civilizations
(36/?) In his project you could find:
Expelling of any american influence (cultural and political).
Full national soverignty.
Abolition of monarchy and parliament
Stablish a Great Pan-Asiatic and anti-imperialist Union lead by Japan
ABOLISH USURY
SOCIALIZE THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION
(37/?) COMBATING MARXISM, PRESENTING ITSELF AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO COMMUNISM AND DENOUNCING SOVIETIC IMPERIALISM #NicolaeCeaucescu
To base Japanese economy mainly in agriculture, considering the farmers as those who really moved Japan.
(38/?) During this decade he would be known for his meetings and appearing many times in tv programs in which he talked about HOW THE UNITED STATES WANTED TO DESTROY JAPANESE IDENTITY and the importance of combating imperialism in Asia and STOPPING CAPITALISM. #NazbolGANG
(39/?) During those years he would gain media protagonism, being sometimes ridiculized by the media and even ACCUSED of being a communist [just like Striker] because of the Cold War.
Takeo Fukuda, of the heads of Liberal Democrat Party will have a direct confrontation with him.
(40/?) Asanuma accused Fukuda of being an asset for the CIA [and glowing in the dark] while Fukuda accused him of being nuts. Asanuma was truly convinced that since Japan started its war in Manchuria, ITS COUNTRY WAS IN THE SIGHTS OF A GREAT INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRACY TO SUBMIT IT.
(41/?) In his mayor controversies as a politican we find that he called publicly to reprehend the ambassador of the US in Japan, Douglas MacArthur II, and of taking the embassy. Masayoshi Kotoba, member too of his party, send in a telegram to MacArthur of the dangers of Asanuma.
(42/?) In 1959 the sino-soviet rupture happened. Asanuma was happy of this fact, praised the chineese government for its decision of breaking free of the soviet orbit [STOP ORBITING DUDE] and regain its soverignty as a nation free and independant.
(43/?) Despite his opposition to marxism, he praised Mao and called him a "great asian patriot, that defended his fatherland from imperialism, whether it be american or soviet".
That very same year, Asanuma would go out the country with enthusiasm and visit personally Mao. #GANG
(44/?) And he told him "American Imperialism is a common enemy to both the japanese and chinese volks" and affirmed that the destiny of both nations was to lead together the Asian stage. He also praised Kim Il-Sung, who abandoned marxist orthodoxy and wanted Juche for Japan too.
(45/?) During this last period of his life, he reached his peak in politics. He adopted the idea of a Socialist and Nationaist Far-East lead by him, Mao, Kim and Sukarno.
After this, he only made internal opposition to grow, his companions named him a charlatan and insane. #GG
(46/?) Trying to break away from Asanuma, Suehiro Nishio and others retired from the Socialist Party and founded the Socialist Democrat Party [Dems again].
Between 1959 and 1960 a phenomenon in Japan was produced against the government of Nobusuke Kishi close to 1960 elections.
(47/?) Students, Workers and Citizens went into the streets in an anti-american movement #GiletsJaunes in which Asanuma became one of the main figureheads. With his advanced oratory skills, he won the support of workers and students that were protesting in the streets.
(48/?) Despite the internal opposition, Asanuma announced his candidacy to the next elections that would take place in November, later that year. Time after, some documents would prove that japanese authorities took him seriously and watched his every move, jus like the FBI does.
(49/?) In October 12th, just a month close to the elections, Asanuma would assist to a debate in the Dieta Imperal (Japanese Parliament) against the leader of the Democratic Liberal Party, Hayato Ikeda. That debate was being watched by 2.5k ppl and streamed live via NHK.
(50/?) Asanuma would start his speech talking about the defense of sovereignty when suddenly he was surprised by a frenetic teenager with a katana, who jumped to the stage rapidly and stabbed Asanuma 2 times in the chest in front of thousands of people and cameras. He bled out.
(51/?) The assassin, rapidly arrested, was Otoya Yamaguchi, a 17 year old young fanatic and member of a uyoku dantai (far-right groups, monarchists, traditionalists, basically a reactionary) who managed to evade (((security))) armed with a sword and ready to kill Asanuma.
(52/52) Otoya was arrested but (((nothing could be extracted from the interrogations))) and 3 weeks later he was found dead in his cell, hanged by his own sheets in (((aparent suicide))).
[He also had 2 shotgun bullets in the back of his head and an overdose]
