Current dataviz reading
Turns out I’m superficial and I’m going to read this first, for a laugh. Might be just as relevant.
I told you it’s a dataviz book
On the other hand, #dataviz might just be the foundation of civilization.
Im very interested in the idea that #dataviz is a language. Turns out it’s probably a “partial script”.
And I like the idea that data visualization reverses this process and translate a computer language into a more human one.
Information design to state the obvious. I like it.
Small satisfaction of having a hilightable sentence fit on one line.
I haven’t read enough of the recent literature about showing uncertainty in #dataviz to know if it addresses the idea that showing uncertainty can change it, but it sure seems like an interesting idea.
So I’m back to my dataviz book and now we’re talking about the purpose of science, which interests me very much.
I dataviz as in everything, science is not the final answer. It is part of the answer.
