i don't think the rabbids are that bad, there i said it.

they're definitely not equivalent to the minions. they're not overused, and sure they can be annoying but it's not anywhere near as widespread as those annoying yellow tic tacs

in fact, the minions would actually be kind of cute if they weren't fucking everywhere

i do kind of hate that the rabbids had a part in keeping rayman from getting another fully fledged game for a while, but that was more so caused by the changing gaming climate of the time. mostly that 3d platformers were sort of losing traction in the mid to late 2000's.

of course, nowadays a 3d rayman platformer would fit right in with hat in time/mario odyssey/spyro/crash, so there's really no excuse for my boy to make a comeback
