This interview is from 1984 with Yuri Bezmenov, a USSR KGB defector.
He says there's four stages to ideological subversion/psychological warfare. This is a long game & Russia is playing it to a tee.

Demoralize
Destabalize
Crisis
Normalization

Demoralize - This step can take up to 20 years to complete. This represents the time it takes to start new generation, re-educate them and mark the previous generation as damaged. Bezmenov hypothesized that the majority of the demoralization is done by Americans to Americans.

Destabilize - This can take place very quickly (2 - 5 years). Everything is included in this part of the process, economy, foreign relations, defense systems ... everything.

Crisis - This can happen in as little as a month or six weeks, and is "a violent change of power, structure, and economy".
We've had several attempts at a manufactured crisis since Donald took office.
Muslims coming to the country, asylum seekers & refugees, Southern border ...

Normalization - This can last indefinitely, but only if you allow leaders to bring the nation to a crisis point. This can be done simply by eliminating a free market economy, put a "big brother" government in place along with a dictator.

What do we do about it? How do we stop it?

Educate people on what "real" patriotism is all about.
Care about your freedoms.
Know that this is real warfare & not some cooked up conspiracy theory.
